The package of this juice is so cute, so I bought this one. This juice flavor orange and mango. It is good, because here is mid summer!!

Frame in the park

I saw a frame in the park on the way of Muriwai Beach. There is one of the Auckland Regional Parks. This sight is beautiful, so it has the frame.

Muriwai Beach (ムリワイビーチ)

I went to Muriwai Beach. My flat mates’ couples brought me there. His driving was a little rough, so I got travel-sick. However, I really like beach. When I saw this sight, I became fine. There are many people, who had a fun surfing. And motor camp place was located near the beach. They camp this place at night, wake up early morning and surf in the morning and afternoon. Such a wonderful time!!

I think New Zealand's cookies are better than Japanese ones, so I like cookies. There are many kinds of flavor here. This one is Banana Chocolate flavor!! Unbelievable!!
It is interesting to me to find delicious cookies.

Received Woosh (Woosh

I received Woosh yesterday. I thought I needed to call Courier Post, but my flat mate had received my box, when I came home and found it! I started to connect the Internet in a short time. However, Woosh disconnected many times. I think Japanese people can’t imagine this situation. Terrible!!
I want to try to contact Woosh operator to solve this problem.

Starting New Course (新しいコースがスタート)

I will start new course today, so I will go to another campus. This campus is newer than before. And I will start studying about Graduate Diploma Information Technology.
In New Zealand, there are national qualifications about education. All school s need to follow to this guide lines. My course is for people, who have graduated university of any subjects. I had worked at IT Company for 5 years, and this course has an internship coursework in last semester. Therefore, I chose this course. My class is a lot of Indian people. I will do my best!

Sign up for Woosh (Woosh

I signed up for Woosh, which is wireless provider, because I want to use internet at home. After signing up for it, I received a few missed calls from Woosh. Maybe this call was that they would let me know about a delaying of their start up kit. I called back them, and an operator told me that my start up kit had suspended at Courier Post, which was a home delivery service company, and I needed to call the Courier Post. He was very kind and had lovely voice. (I thought Indian people.)
I called the Courier Post, but their service stopped until tomorrow. That’s why I haven’t connected to the Internet yet.

Address in NZ (ニュージーランドの住所)

Houses are built on the street. If you want to get to the certain address, you will know there easier than Japan. The street of New Zealand is made up of one side, which is odd number, and another side, which is even number. If you want to find 47 XX Road, you will look at one side, which is even number, and understand to look for only the other side.

Lunch Box (弁当)

Some New Zealanders know the word of "Bento". My host family's cousin is 8 years old. She told me about “Bento”. Maybe, she knew the word at school. It is funny.
My host family’s child is independent. He is 12 years old, and he makes lunch every day. His lunch is mostly sandwich, which is an easy meal. However, if Japanese students go to elementary school, they won’t make lunch. It is good for children to make lunch by myself.

New Zealand's money

There are New Zealand's money. In New Zealand, people use mainly EFTPOS, which is like a debit card. I can seldom see 100 dollar bill, because almost all shops prepare few changes. Therefore, I can't use 100 dollar bill. If you exchange money, you will ask bank officer to exchange 20 dollar bill. I can easily count New Zealand's money, because there aren't 1 cent or 5 cents.

I have never seen fresh apricots, so when I saw them at a supermarket, I bought them. I think dry apricots are better than fresh apricots, because they taste well. There many kinds of fruits and vegetables here, so I have a fun trying to eat them!

I like supermarket and have a fun shopping. In New Zealand, I can buy any vegetables and fruits from one thing. It is important for me, because I make meals by myself. If you want to buy these things, you will pick up them what you want to buy and bring them to casher. And then, casher measures them by weight.

These shelves are displayed Japanese food. Of course, there are shelves of Chinese food and Indian food. When I saw that a New Zealander bought a soy source, I was glad. Japanese food are loved many countries.

Also, there are a lot of wines at supermarket. New Zealand’s wines are awesome!!
However, there are fewer competitors in New Zealand, so commodity prices are gradually increasing.

One of the most important industries of New Zealand is dairy product. A lot of dairies are exported to other countries. I have cereals with milk every day. I had wondered why New Zealand’s milk doesn’t smell bad. I understood this reason yesterday, because New Zealand’s milk isn’t raw and is heated, however, Japanese milk is raw. That’s why New Zealand’s milk doesn’t smell bad.

Chinese street (チャイニーズストリート)

It isn’t China town, but many Chinese people live in Mt. Albert, which is the name of my suburb in Auckland. First Chinese people came here in 1865, because they want to look for gold mine. Therefore, you can see a lot of Chinese people and restaurants. I took this picture in front of Mt Albert Station. Most of shops on the street are Chinese shops.

The view from my house

The view from my house is wonderful. My house is located near the top of mountain, which altitude is about only 100m. There are few buildings in Auckland city, so I can see Sky Tower from my house. And I can hear the sound of birdsong. I like this view from a dining room.

I criticized Japanese education, so I will tell you about my way of speaking English. When I speak English, I try to imagine what I want to say instead of translate. However, if you want to do this way, you have to practice some points.

1. Vocabulary : It is very important. If you know a lot of vocabulary, you can use many words.
I can't help you this point. However, when you speak, you can use words fewer than that you know, so I recommended duo 3.0 or the book of sentence using vocabulary. (not just word list)

2. Grammar : This is also important, because you can tell other people correctly using correct grammar.
It means you will be able to use present, past and present perfect sentence.

For example:
If you want to talk about now.
Do you like/go/want -------?
I like/go/want --------------.

If you want to talk about yesterday.
What did you do ------?
I did/saw/went -------.

If you want to talk about experiment.
Have you ever been/seen/driven -------------?
I have ever/never been/seen/tried -----------.

In short, you remember these forms because of repeating sentence many times. And first, you imagine what you want to tell your friends, second you start to explain your image with using vocabulary and grammar. So you don't need to translate your own language into English.

Do you like/go/want -------?
I like/go/want --------------.

What did you do ------?
I did/saw/went -------.

Have you ever been/seen/driven -------------?
I have ever/never been/seen/tried -----------.

How to study IELTS writing 8

1.一般論(General statement)
(Specific statement)
(Thesis statement)

(Topic sentence)

(Concluding stntence)
(Final coment)

Nice to have things in NZ's life

I started a new life in New Zealand. If I have some goods, I will live in a new house comfortably. I recommend following goods.

1.Sunglasses
Now it is summertime in New Zealand, so the sun light is quite strong. If you travel to New Zealand, you have better bring sunglasses.
(By the way, the word of “glasses” is a plural form, because glasses have two lenses.)

2.Vitamin
I need to get Vitamin C & B every day, because I want to save money and make meals every day. However, I can’t buy a lot of vegetables, so this Vitamin makes up for nutrition.
I bought this one at a low price in New Zealand's supermarket, there are chewable tablets, which have a tasty lemon flavor.

3.Aromatic Oil
I lived in a new house, which smells other houses or people. I’m not nervous, however if I use an aromatic oil, I will be able to sleep well.
Especially citrus aromatic oils work as an anti-insect way, so this is useful.

In New Zealand, the train had stopped since 26th December in 2009. It started running this week. It isn't convenient, but I like New Zealand’s train. It is cute for me the train to stop running quite long term.

Nice to have things in flight

When you take air plane, if you bring these things, you will feel comfortable. Maybe it depends on your flight, but I recommend these things.

1. Slippers!!
It is very important for me, because I want to take off my shoes during flight. If I wear slippers, it doesn't look duty even taking off my shoes. And I use it in my house.
This slippers are given my husband, because it was the bonus of Softbank.

2. Pillow
It was a gift of my host family. Air line's pillow is too bad, so I use this one. Now I still use this pillow.

Japanese education (日本の教育)

I thought I wanted to write about Japanese education, but this topic is very difficult for me. Today I try to write about it.
Many Japanese people think that they can't speak English well. However, if they graduated high school, come to New Zealand and study English at school, maybe most people can start at middle level. (My school has 8 levels for English from hello to advanced.) Many Chinese, Russian, Thailand and Vietnamese students start from more low level, but they don't think like Japanese people.
Japanese education of English is a wrong way, because English isn't so difficult. And we have known English grammar already.
Why do they think they can't speak English well?
I think maybe they compare their English with native English speaker.Of course, some people don't think that. However, many people including me have some such feeling.
This is the worst thing in learning English, because if you learn mathematics, you will try to solve a question, understand the answer, get self-confidence and solve other questions easily. One of the most important things of learning is confidence. I think Japanese education should be changed as soon as possible.
Please stop comparing your English with native English speaker and have a fun of speaking with many other country's people!!

In New Zealand, sunscreen is very important, because sun light is so strong. I feel my skin get sunburn. I think New Zealand is not only located near the ozone hole, but also has naturally strong sun light. And day light is quite long, so we can enjoy sun shine from 6am to 9pm and plants grow up quickly.
This sunscreen is SPF 70. I had never seen sunscreen of more than SPF 50. My friend said it existed SPF 100, which I haven't seen yet. You can understand how strong the New Zealand's sun light is.

I love summer, so now is the best season!! In New Zealand, summer is not so hot. It is very comfortable.

My room (私の部屋)

My room gets a lot of sun light, because it has a big window. I like my room. (However it has a spider. But I don't care.) My ex-house is cleaner than this house, but I think this house is cleaner than average KIWI houses. When I looked for flat, I saw 6 houses and choose clean and comfortable house.

Have you ever seen a spider hanging in the spider's line? I saw it in front of my face yesterday. Firstly, I didn't realize what it is, because it looks like a cartoon. I don't like a spider. However, I was impressed.

Moving out (引越し)

I moved my house yesterday, so I started living in my new flat. (But it is old house.) This house shared 5 people, Japanese and KIWI couple, Japanese man, Japanese girl and me. The idea of flat is not famous in Japan. Flat means a house sharing other people. I think it is a good idea, because people can live in a house affordable. If I want to buy a house by myself, I can't buy it. However, I can live in a house in the way of flatting. Therefore, I can see my house yard.

Life Expense (生活費)

I write about life expense of overseas education. This is my life expense in 2009.

It is total expense including tuition and home stay fees. My school gave me 3 weeks bonus, so I paid only one week tuition on December.

I went to Tokyo Station. There were a lot of people in Tokyo. The population of Auckland is much smaller than Tokyo, so I have seen a lot of people for a long interval. One of New Zealand's good points is nature!

Happy New Year!!

I spent a wonderful time on winter holiday! I ate a lot of delicious food and took a bath for long time. I think Japan is a good country, because Japan has delicious food, many shops, many friends and my husband!
According to twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac, this year is tiger in Japan, so a lot of products of tiger are sold. I bought coffee beans of tiger at Starbucks:) It is very good!!
