Critical Path

  • Def: the series of activities that determines the duration of the project

PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique)

  • Based on idea that estimates are uncertain

  • Uses an "expected value"


    How to estimate

    Optimistic (ex. 5Weeeks)
    Most likely (ex. 7weeks)
    Pessimistic (ex. 10weeks)


    PERT Formula

    te = ( a + 4m + b ) / 6
