How to study IELTS writing 5

Today, I write bout how to use ‘the’, because it is difficult for non-native people to use ‘the’. There are rules of using ‘the’.

今日は"the"の使い方について、ネイティブではない私たちにとって、"the"の使い方は難しいですよね。。。教わったルールを書きます。

How to don't use ‘the’
1. Don’t use ‘the’ with cities or towns
ex.) I live in Tokyo.
2. Don’t use ‘the’ when talking about school, college or university generally
ex.) My syster has just graduated from university.
3. Don’t use the talking generally
ex.) I'm afraid of dogs.
4. Don’t use ‘the’ name of company
ex.) Her father works for IBM.
5. Don’t use ‘the’ with country name
ex.) Paris is the capital of France.
6. Don’t use ‘the’ with meal
ex.) What time is breakfast?

How to use ‘the’
7. Use ‘the’ with the name of oceans and rivers (ex. The Mississippi River)
ex.) He sailed the Atrantic Ocean alone.
8. Use ‘the’ superlatives (ex. the biggest)
ex.) What's is the longest river in the world?
9. Use ‘a’ the first time and ‘the’ second time
ex.) I had a sandwich last night. The sandwich was nice.
10. Use ‘the’ when talking about specific thing
ex.) Did you enjoy the coffee?
11. Use ‘the’ to talk about specific type of animal or machine, especially in scientific context
ex.) When was the telephone invented?
12. Use ‘the’ with same
ex.) Your dress is the same as mine.
13. Use ‘the’ with countries that are a collection of states, or plural or in titles with Republic
たとえば中国も the Republic of China となるわけです。
ex.) She lives in the USA.
14. Use ‘the’ with certain adjectives to talk about groups of the people in society
ex.) We should look after the elderly in our society.
15. Use ‘the’ when there is only one of these existence
月や太陽はひとつだけなので、これもtheが必要。
ex.) I like the moon.
16. Use ‘the’ to talk about groups of mountains, islands, states
ex.) Last year we went tramping in the Rockey Mountain.

うーむ。難しいですが、要は慣れるしかないと思います。

Rainbow (虹)

In Auckland, there is a lot of raining. Almost all raining is quit a few times, so weather of Auckland changes quickly everyday. My host father said, ”Auckland is closed around sea such as sea land and sea.” If you sea the Auckland map, you can understand it. I saw the rainbow, and I took the picture. You watch at left side bottom carefully, because it isn’t clear.

オークランドではたくさん雨が降る。たいていは数分でやんじゃうので、オークランドの天気はとっても変わりやすい。ホストファザーは、「オークランドの周りは海に囲まれているからだよ。海、陸、海って感じでね。」といってた。オークランドの地図を見ればなっとく。昨日虹をみたので、写真をとった。ちょっとわかりずらいので、左下をよーーくみてください。見つかった？

Bus strike (バスのストライキ)

Last week, Auckland buses struck, so people who lived in Auckland, were inconvenient to go to school or office. Bus is more useful than train here, because it expands route and runs many times. Trains have only 3 routes, but buses have about 100 routes. (I’m not sure whether the number of buses’ route is correct or not.) The bus’ strike started at school holiday week, so it affected only workers. The bus’ employer rocked his company, and employee couldn’t work there. However, it has been for about 10 days, so it affected students. They can use only train. Finally, this strike ended last week, and buses came back in town.
In Auckland, one company "MAXX" owes train, bus and ship transports. I was amazed that bus stopped fully for 10 days! Now bus comes back, so I feel easy.

先週、オークランドのバスはストライキをしてたので、オークランドに住んでる人たちは学校にいったり、会社にいくときにとっても不便な生活をしていました。オークランドではバスの方が電車より本数が多いので便利です。電車は3路線しかないけど、バスは100路線ぐらい（正確にしらないので、アバウトです）。バスのストライキが始まったのは、スクールホリディの週（日本で言う春休みみたいな感じ。私は私立の語学学校なので、スクールホリディに関係なく授業があります^^）だったので、働いている人だけに影響がでた。雇用主が会社をロックして入れないようにしてしまって、10日間ぐらいそのままストライキをしていたので、学校に行く子達にも影響が出てて電車しか使えなかった。最終的に、先週終わりぐらいにストライキは終わり、バスが町にもどってきました。
オークランドでは「MAXX」というひとつの会社が（多分パブリックカンパニー）電車、バス、船の交通を所有しています。10日間も完全にバスがストップするなんて、びっくりしたけど。今は普通に戻って一安心。

Birds (鳥)

There are many kinds of birds in Auckland. This one is sparrow, so it exists in Japan. When I arrived at my host house, I was glad to hear singing of birds. While I spent time to hear singing of birds in the afternoon, I feel happy. I hope that I want do same thing at luxury hotel.

オークランドにはたくさんの鳥がいます。これはスズメなので、日本にもいるけど。。。私がホストファミリーの家に着いたとき、鳥の鳴き声が聞こえてとても驚きました。鳥の鳴き声を聞きながら、午後の時間をすごしてると幸せな気分になる。できれば、高級ホテルとかだともっと幸せなんだけど^^

How to study IELTS writing 4

How do you use and, or, but, so or because? I used them like that.
EX) I bought an umbrella. Because it was rain yesterday.
However, if you write this, you can find error of consider revising. I didn’t understand what this error said, but I know how to use them now.

どうやってand、or、so、becauseを使っていますか？私は上のように使っていましたが、これだとWordで再考が必要とエラーになるんです。でもずっとなぜかわからなかったのですが、最近ようやくわかりました。Writingの際は以下のように使いましょう。

How to use and, or, but, so, because
1. I like pasta, and I always eat pasta. 　○
And I always eat pasta, I like pasta. 　×
2. I will stay home, or I will go out. 　○
Or I will go out, I will stay home. 　×
3. She works at school, but she wants to quit.　○
But she wants to quit at school, she works there.　×
4. I painted the wall just now, so you don’t touch it. 　○
So you don’t touch the wall, I painted it just now. 　○
5. I bought an umbrella, because it was rain. 　○
Because it was rain, I bought an umbrella. 　○

You can change only using so and because. And, or and but don’t change. I think learning English in Japan isn’t useful.

センテンスをチェンジできるのはSoとBecauseだけということになります。andやor、butはだめ。でもあくまでもAcademic writingの場合NGなのであって、話し言葉はもちろんOKです。日本の英語教育もこういうのを教えてほしいなー。

Leeks (西洋ニラ)

There are Leeks. It looks like 'Polonegi', but it is Western chive! It is more thick than Japanese one.
I wonder what 'ea' means, I find that 'ea' means each. Therefore, it costs $1.35 (about 80yen per piece), so I think it costs as same as Japan.

これはリークというそうです。見た目はポロネギみたいだけど、西洋ニラと辞書にはある。日本のより全然太い。「ea」は何かと思っていたら、eachだった。なので、一本で＄1.35(日本円で80円ぐらい)。値段は日本と同じぐらいかな。

Ice cream (アイスクリーム)

In New Zealand, ice cream is very popular, because they eat ice cream usually. My host family eats ice cream twice or three times a week. I like ice cream too, but it has high calories. Therefore, I mind not to eat too much. This ice cream is Movenpick. I ate Tiramisu flavor, which costs $4.50 and is very delicious!! Of course, You can eat double ice cream.

ニュージーランドではアイスクリームはとても人気があるので、みんなよく食べる。私のホストは週に2,3回食べている。私もアイスは好きだけど、高カロリーなのであんまり食べないようにしている。このアイスはMovenpickというアイス。私はティラミス味のを食べた。これは$4.50（日本円で300円ぐらい）です。とてもおいしいです。もちろんダブルもできますー。

Parnell (パーネル)

I went to Parnell yesterday. It was very small area and lovely old hose street such as Starbacks. I looked around Parnell. I ate an ice cream for lunch. I spent relaxing time. If you have an opportunity, you will go to Parnell.

昨日はパーネルへいってきました。とっても小さいエリアだけど古い素敵な町並みが続いたとおりです。スタバもこのとおり。パーネルを見て、ランチにアイスを食べました＾＾ゆっくりした時間をすごせるので、もし機会があればぜひ言ってみてくださいー。

Chinese food (中華料理)

I had Chinese food for lunch yesterday. I have a cereal for breakfast, bread for lunch and potato and meet pie or something for dinner everyday, so I want to have a noodle. Foreground was my noodle with 3side dishes which I chose from about 10 dishes, and it costs $6.90. It is reasonable and got plenty of volume, so I was full.
Back is my friend's lunch. It is fried noodle, and it also got plenty of volume! I'm not sure, but it costs about $8.00. I was satisfied at this lunch.

昨日のランチは中華料理を食べた。私は毎日、朝食にシリアル、ランチにトースト、ディナーにポテトとミートパイとかフィッシュアンドチップスとかを食べているので、麺が無性に食べたくなる。手前のが私の頼んだヌードル10種類ぐらいあるサイドディッシュから3種類選べる。そして$6.90（日本円で400円ぐらい）。リーズナブルでボリュームがあるので、すごくおなかいっぱいになった。

奥にあるのが、私の友達ので、焼きそばこれもボリュームがある。確か$8.00（日本円で450円ぐらい）です。

How to study IELTS writing 3

Today, I want to write about basic grammar. It is important for writing in English, because it is check point. I forgot this rule fully.

Using and, or
1. + + and joints two or more positives.
　ex) I love tacos, pizza and egg rolls.
2. - - or joints two or more negatives.
　ex) I don't like hot dogs or hamburgers.
3. T? F? or also connects choices.
　ex) Is this sentence true or false?
Therefore, if you write the following sentence,
"I didn't my homework _____ my essay."
you will connect this sentence using or.

今日は基本のグラマーです。グラマーは採点のポイントになっているので英語で書く際に重要なポイントです。私もすっかりこのルールを忘れていたので、かんたんなところからおさらい。　

Andとorの使い方
1.Andはポジティブなものを2つ以上つなげるときに使う。
　ex) I love tacos, pizza and egg rolls.

2.Orはネガティブなものを2つ以上つなげるときに使う。
　ex) I don't like hot dogs or hamburgers.

3.Orは選択肢をつなげるときにも使う。
　ex) Is this sentence true or false?

それなので、たとえば以下のような文章を書いたとすると。
"I didn't my homework _____ my essay."
orでつなげるのが正しいということになります。
これで宿題もエッセイも両方やっていないという意味になる！

To do list back to Japan (日本に帰ったらやりたいことリスト)

I adjusted my new life, so I make the list to want to do when I will come back Japan.
However, I have left more than 2 months! Taking a bath and eating Ramen are the most desired things. As suspected, I am going to study English hard now.
< To do list back to Japan>
1. Take a bath long time: There is only a shower, and I can’t use long time (almost 10 minutes) in New Zealand.
2. Eat Ramen (Japanese noodle): I hardly have Ramen, because there are not so many shops.
3. Eat Sushi: This is expensive, so I hardly eat Sushi.
4. Eat delicious food: Now I stay at home stay, so I want to eat anything.
5. Sleap my house long time: This reason is similar to no.4.
6. Watch TV long time: This reason is similar to no.4.
7. Use internet long time: I use internet only school and my house very short time, so I want to use internet during relax at my home.
8. Meet my husband and friend: Of course!
9. Dress well: I didn’t bring many clothes, so I want to go out with dressing well.
Uh, I’m starving.

新しい生活にもなれたので。日本に帰ったらやりたいことリストをつくったけど、まだあと2ヶ月以上もある^^お風呂に入るとラーメン食べたいは一番先にやりたい。でもだいぶ先なんで今は英語がんばって勉強しようと思います。
＜日本に帰ったらやりたいことリスト＞
1.長い時間お風呂に入る：ニュージーランドはシャワーしかなくて、長い時間入れなくて10分ぐらい。
2.ラーメン食べたい：ラーメン屋さんがあまりないので、めったに食べられない。
3.すしが食べたい：すしはこっちでも人気だけど、高い。
4.おいしいものが食べたい：今はホームステイなので、自分の食べたいものを食べたい。
5.自分の部屋で長い時間寝たい：4と理由は同じ
6.長い時間TVをみたい：4と理由は同じ
7.インターネットを長い時間使いたい：今は学校か家ですごい短い時間しか使えないから。
8.だんなさんと友達に会いたい：あたりまえだけど
9.おしゃれをしたい：あんまり洋服を持ってこなかったので、たまにはおしゃれしたい。
あーおなかすいてきたー。

Gift (贈り物)

No matter how old I get, I am glad that someone gives me a gift. I get a gift from my husband yesterday. My host family is very kind, so he send me my swimsuite and Japanese food. The most hit gift is Pokemon, because my host family’s children like Pokemon. Therefore my husband send them Pokemon toys. They were very delight and they hugged me and said me thanks. One of them is 13 years old, but he is already very gentle and independent. Awesome!

いくつになっても、だれかから贈り物をもらうとうれしい。昨日、だんなさんから荷物がとどいた。うちのホストファミリーがとってもいい家族なんで、水着といっしょに日本のお菓子をたくさん送ってくれた。一番喜ばれたのはポケモン。ホストファミリーの子供がポケモン大好きなので、だんなさんに送ってくれるようお願いしたところすごい喜んでハグしてきました。ホストファミリーの子の一人は13歳の男の子、でもすでに紳士的で自分で自分のことはできるようになってて、すごいなーって思う。

Path (遊歩道)

There is the path of Roy Clement Treeway near my home (about five-minute walk). I like this one, because I feel comfortable such as walking in nature. I use this path to go to easier way to the St Lukes shopping center. This is very huge, so I usually go there. There are many paths in Auckland.

これはロイクレメントトゥリーウェイという私の家から5分ぐらいいったところの遊歩道。自然の中をあるいているようで気持ちいいのでこの道が好きです。そしてセントルクスショッピングセンターという大きなショッピングセンターへの近道でもあるので、よくショッピングセンターへ行ってます。こんな遊歩道がオークランドにはたくさんあります。

Traffic light (信号機)

In New Zealand, a traffic light for walking person turn red quickly. First, it turned blue from red light. After 10 second, it turn blinking red light. After that, it turn red light. I was amazed at turning traffic light speed. However, it has a reason.
Blue light: you may across the street.
Blinking red light: you may across the street, but you should look at street carefully.
Red light: Of course, you must not across the street.
Therefore, Blinking red light is longer than blue light.

ニュージーランドでは、歩行者信号が赤になるのがとても早い。最初、信号が赤から青になって10秒ぐらいで赤になって点滅する。その後、赤信号になる。信号が変わるスピードの早さにびっくりしたけど、これには理由があった。
　青信号：道路を渡ってもよい
　点滅赤信号：道路を渡ってもよいけど、注意して渡りなさい
　赤信号：もちろん、渡っちゃだめ
こういう理由で、青信号よりも点滅赤信号の時間がながい。

Day light length (日照時間)

I took this picture at 8:00 pm. The day light lengthen now, because we are in spring and in summer time! I like day length is long. When time was changed one hour fast, it is tough for me to adjust summer time. But it is a wonderful idea. Japanese people work hard, so they can’t come home early and they don’t notice advantage of the summer time.

この写真は午後8：00に撮った。最近は春になったのとサマータイムになったから日照時間が長くなった。夜が明るいのはいい。サマータイムで1時間変更したときは、体内時計を合わせるのが大変だったけど、とってもいいです。日本はハードワーカーが多いから、みんな早く家に帰れなくて、サマータイムのメリットに気づいてないのかもしれないなと思いました。

How to study IELTS writing 2

IELTSの採点基準を知ることはとっても重要なので、まずは採点基準をWEBでチェックしましょう。
採点基準は英語でなかったので、今日は日本語だけにします。明日からまた両方で書きますねー。

＜IELTS ライティング試験内容＞
試験時間 60 分
問題数 2 問
試験内容 2 Task から構成
Task 1: 図や表、グラフを説明する( 約 20 分 150 語以上 )
Task 2: トピックについて意見を述べる( 約 40 分 250 語以上 )

＜IELTS　ライティング採点基準＞
１　解答の完成度：
問題として与えられた問いに適切、または十分に答えられているか、という点を採点します。解答の展開力も十分な解説、説得力のある証明がされているか、という点を採点されます。

２　解答の論理性：
解答に対しての論理性を採点します。問題に対して論理的な答えになっているか、答えをサポートする内容は論理的に正しいか、読み手が読みやすいよう論理的に繋ぎ合わせることができているか、という点を採点します。

３　解答の文法と語彙：
解答の中で使用されている単語のスペル、文法の正確さ、そして表現の適切さが採点されます。

４　解答の文字数：
ライティングセクションでは、Task1は150語以上、Task2は250語以上と最低語数が決まっています。これは平均語数ではなく、最低語数になりますので、たとえエッセイを完成させても、語数が足りなければ減点されることになります。

次回はライティングの基本グラマーについて書きたいと思いますー。

Mushroom (マッシュルーム)

There are Mushrooms. Very big! What’s more this is $15 (about \900) per Kg. The display price is $14.99, but we round the price to one decimal placde in New Zealand. Also, I amazed at they put showcase upside down. I wonder this disply keeps good.

これがニュージーのマッシュルーム。とっても大きい。しかも1キロ15ドル。日本円で約900円。写真の価格は$14.99だけど、ニュージーランドは四捨五入（正確にいうと五捨六入だけどお店によってカウントの仕方が変わるらしい。）もうひとつ驚くことが並べ方が日本と逆で傘の裏側が上になっている。こっちの方が日持ちするのかなー。

Cherry Blossom (桜)

I have been to New Zealand for 4 weeks. When I arrived here, Cherry Blossom were full bloom, but Cherry Blossoms have still bloomed. I wondered when they will fall, because they are full bloom now and sprouts reef. I am interested to see this tree every day.

ニュージーランドに来て4週間がたった。私がここに来たとき桜が満開だった。が。いまだに満開。いつ散るんだろうって不思議に思う。満開なうえに葉もでてきてるし、、、毎日いつ散るのか楽しみに見てます。

How to study IELTS writing 1

I want to try to write about studying IELTS. I study English at EAP class which is for prepare of academic education, so this class is helpful to improve my writing skill. It is important to check your writing by someone else. Also, I think writing is technique. If you want to get good score of writing, you will teach how to write and check your writing by someone. However, people who don’t have enough money and time, see my blog to improve their writing. I want to write about writing technique from my school.
Before writing skill, you prepare your surroundings. You need Word soft, and this soft turns off the setting of spell check. You finish writing, so you check your writing.

そろそろIELTSの勉強法について書いてみようかなと思う。私はEAPという進学目的のクラスにいるので今のクラスはライティングスキルを向上させるのに役立っている。ライティングは誰かにチェックしてもらうことが重要で、ライティングはテクニックだと思う。それなので、ライティングでよいスコアを取りたい場合は、どうやって書くかを教わってチェックしてもらえばいい。
しかし、そんな時間もお金もない人のために学校で教わったライティングテクニックについて書きます。
　でもその前に、まず環境の準備をしましょう。誰かに見てもらわないのであれば、ワードソフトを準備して、自動のスペルチェック設定をオフにしましょう。
（スペルチェックの変更方法は「ツール」＞「オプション」＞「文章校正」＞「スペルチェック」の「自動スペルチェック」のチェックボックスをはずせばOK）
文章を書き終えた後に、スペルチェックをすることで誰かにチェックしてもらっているのと同じ状況をつくります。

Health and Sports Day (体育の日)

I saw my google calender, and I realized today is national holiday of Health and Sports Day in Japan! I envy people who lives in Japan, because Japan has more national holidays than New Zealand. This year maybe, I have only 2 national holdays from September to December in New Zealand(10/26 Laborday and 12/25 Christmas)． I'm OK. I will study English hard:)

今さっきグーグルさんカレンダーを見たら、日本は体育の日で休み！！日本にすんでいる人がうらやましい。
というのもニュージーランドより日本の方が祝日が多い。今年は9月から12月まででニュージーランドは２日しか祝日がない。（10/26 Laborday and 12/25 Christmas）
いいんです。私は一生懸命英語勉強するので問題ないです（なーんて）^^

Licorice (リッコリス)

Do you know the Licorice? I didn't know it, but it is popular sweat treat in New Zealand. It looks black and synthetic. However, it made from natural food. Licorice tastes sweet, like mint flavor and chewing. Honestly, It tastes strange and didn't taste in Japan. Licorice helps with my digest, so it is good for health. I forgot my memory stick. I will upload Licorice and Snow Planet picture tommorow.

リッコリスって知ってますか？私は知らなかったですが、ニュージーランドでは有名な甘いお菓子。見た目は黒くて人工的に見えますが、自然食品の甘草からつくられているそうです。リッコリスは甘くて、ミントのようなフレーバーがあってグミのようにかむ食べ物なので、正直いって変な味で日本にはない味ですが、消化を助けるそうなので、健康にはいいみたいです。今日はメモリースティック忘れちゃったので、リッコリスとスノープラネットの写真は明日アップします。

Snow Planet (スノープラネット)

Today I went to the Snow Planet with my host family. It is a snow dome such as Zausu in Japan. (It has bankrupted already.) I will upload the picture tomorrow, because I use internet at home.
It is more expensive than I expected, so I didn’t play snowboard.

Uh…, I think a little expensive. However, my host family will go to the Snow Planet at Christmas, so I want to play snowboard next time. Actually, I like snowboard. I was impressed at a view around the Snow Planet; farm, cow, sheep, lawn and skyline. I didn’t believe this is 20-minite drive from Auckland city.
When we came back home, my host father showed me and my friend around Mission Bay. Today is very very nice day. It’s pretty good. Awesome!

今日はホストファミリーと一緒にスノープラネットへ行った。つぶれちゃったけど、日本のザウスのようなスノードーム。今は家なので写真は明日アップします。私が思っていたよりちょっと高かったので今回は見学。

うーん。ちょっと高い。でもクリスマスにまた来るといっているので、次回はやろうと思います。本当はスノボ好きだし。スノープラネットの周りの景色もとてもよかった。牧場、牛、羊、芝に地平線。ここがオークランドから車で20分だなんて信じられない。
　帰りはホストファザーがミッションベイと呼ばれる、オークランドのビーチを案内してくれた。今日はすごーく天気がよかったので、とってもステキでした。

Internet by Vodafone (ボーダフォンでインターネット)

I bought the USB of Vodafone modem yesterday. Speed is pretty good, but cost performance is bad. I think it is good for me to buy prepay one, because on-account charges over limit automatically. Therefore, I don't get high paymaent bill at end of the month. However, I don't recommend it, because it charges high cost. At last, I use Internet at school, so I use it in case of emergency.

昨日、ボーダフォンのUSBモデムを買った。ニュージーランドの中でもスピードは速いと思うけど、コストパフォーマンスが悪すぎ。プリペイと継続支払いがあってプリペイにして正解だった。というのも継続支払いだとリミットがあってそれをオーバーすると自動で請求されちゃう。それなので、月末に高額請求がくるってことは避けられた。けれどもやっぱり高額すぎるので、おすすめできません。ということで、このボーダフォンモデムは緊急用で引き続き学校でネットの日々が続くことになりました。。

Flat White (フラットホワイト)

This is Flat White. Thikyu no arukikata says, “Flat White is like Late, but Flat White has smoother milk than Late. Espresso and Milk get along!”
I like Flat White and Long Black, so I look for the best coffee now. The one of the best coffee is Urban cafe in New market, and Starbucks is good. The coffee of these shops is strong. I love a strong coffee, but it isn’t good for health. Therefore, there are many mild coffees in New Zealand.

これがフラットホワイト。地球の歩き方によると「フラットホワイトはラテに似ているが、ラテよりもミルクがなめらかでエスプレッソとミルクがうまくマッチしている」そうです。
私はこのフラットホワイトとロングブラックが好き。今、一番いいコーヒーショップを探し中。今までで一番よかったのはニューマーケットにある、アーバンカフェ。スタバもいいです。この二つはコーヒーが濃いのですきなんだけど、健康を考えるとよくないのかも。だから、ニュージーランドのコーヒーは割りとマイルドなのかも。。。

Fire fighter (消防車)

I wrote the draft daily, but I didn’t have enough time to upload it because of lot of homework. It settled a matter for the time being, I want to write this blog! I really want to connect the Internet at my home as soon as possible. I will go to the vodafone shop today.
A while ago, the fire bell rang at school during the class, so we went to outside. We thought it was practice, but two-fire truck came here. We have never seen fire then.
After checking the fire, we went back the class. Teacher said it was real fire alarm. I felt relieved without fire. I was lucky because I saw fire fighter & fire truck!

ドラフトは毎日書いてたんだけど、宿題が多くてアップロードする時間がない。ようやくひと段落したので、またブログ書きますー。早く家でインターネットできる環境をつくりたいと真剣に思いました。何回か聞きにいっているボーダフォンショップに今日行ってこよう。
少し前に授業中、学校の非常ベルが鳴ったので、外に非難することがあった。てっきり練習だと思ってたら、2台の消防車が来た。でも火はどこにも見当たらない。
火のチェックがおわったあと、教室にもどったらどうやら本当の警報だったらしい。と先生が言ってた。とりあえず、本当に火事じゃなくてよかった。消防車は日本のより大きくてかっこよかった。ちょっと見れてラッキー。って思いました^^

New market (ニューマーケット)

New market is a station next to Btitomart station. It cost $1.40. There are many shop regarding clothes in New market. I think New market is better that Auckland city and very cute town. But you don’t imagine Tokyo. It is very small, because I met same school 3 people here on Saturday.
I bought outer wear at ESPRIT which cost $45 because of sale. In New Zealand, the usual shop sells only summer goods, but it is still cold especially today my breath is white.

　ニューマーケットはブリトマート駅（オークランドの中央の駅）の隣の駅です。そこにいくには$1.40です。ニューマーケットにはたくさん洋服のお店があります。たぶんオークランドシティで買い物するよりいいと思いますが、決して東京を想像しないで。とっても小さいです。その証拠に土曜には同じ学校の人に3人会いました。。。。
　エスプリでセールで売ってた$45のパーカーをかいました。ニュージーランドではもう普通のお店は夏物が多いですが、まだまだ寒い。特に今日は吐く息も白いです。

Buying a cell phone (携帯を買う)

It is easy to buy a prepay cell phone in New Zealand. There are 3 cell-phone companies here, Vodafone, Telecome and 2 degree. Vodafone and Telecom are both major company, and 2 degree is minor one. I bought 2 degrees cell phone, because its model is cheaper than others same model.
If you want to buy a cell phone in New Zealand, you will choose a company, choose a model and buy it. Maybe, small cell phone is hot in NZ. The price of cell phone is from about $30 (like a transceiver) to about $1,000 (like a iphone or black berry). My cell phone is $99.
After buying the cell phone, you buy SIM card. This SIM card has a cell phone number. It is only $2, and you buy $20 charge at same time.
Next, you insert the SIM card, call written SIM card number and push your pin code when you can use your phone.
Then, you send txt message to charge $20. Finish!
In New Zealand, usual cell phone can only send txt message (like a short mail). It can’t send e-mail. I was disappointed, but it is good to buy a prepay cell phone easily.
I brought iphon from Japan, but its SIM locks. If I want to use it here, I will remove its lock.

ニュージーランドでプリペイド携帯を買うのはすごく簡単です。ニュージーランドの携帯会社はボーダフォン、テレコム、2ディグリーの3社でボーダフォンとテレコムが大手、2ディグリーがマイナー企業。私は2ディグリーの携帯を買いました。なぜかというと同じモデルが他のより安いから。
　ニュージーランドで携帯を買いたい場合、会社を選んで、携帯のモデルを選んで買えばOK。正規店よりも町の電気屋さんの方が安いです。たぶんここでは小さい携帯がはやっているみたいで、どれも小さい。値段は$30（トランシーバーみたいなでっかいやつ）から$1,000（iphoneとかブラックベリーとか）ぐらいまで（もっと高いのもあるかも）ありますが、私の携帯は$99。
　携帯を買ったら、今度SIMカードを買うと携帯の番号が決まります。これは$2で、あとチャージするのに$20分一緒に買いましょー。お店の人が聞いてくるので、大丈夫だと思います。
　そして、SIMカードを携帯に入れて、SIMカードに書かれた番号に電話してPINコードをセットします。これで携帯が使えるようになる。
　あとは$20のチャージを有効にするためにテキストメッセージを携帯会社へ送信して完了！
　ニュージーランドの普通の携帯はテキストメッセージ（日本で言うショートメール）だけ。e-mailは遅れないのでちょっと残念だけど、簡単にしかも安く携帯が買えるのはとっても便利です。
　ちなみに、私はiphoneを日本からもって来たんだけど、日本のやつはSIMロックがかかっているらしく、利用するには自己責任でこれを解除しないと使えないらしい。うーむ。。。

Cheap vegetables (野菜が安い)

In New Zealand, the vegetables are fresh and cheap. There are many kinds of vegetables at supermarket. Perhaps, Japanese woman envy New Zealander. Especially, this year’s vegetables are very expensive. I talked to my host father about vegetables, “Average salary of New Zealand is less than Japan. Maybe, the average salary of New Zealand is $40,000 per year or less. How about in Japan?” I said, “If $1 is about 60 yen, the Japanese one is $80,000 per year.” Almost double! For the future, I’ll see to it when I say ‘cheap’.

ニュージーランドは野菜が安くて新鮮。そしてたくさんの種類の野菜がスーパーにある。ポロねぎとかレタスもたくさん種類がある。日本の主婦はニュージーランドの人がうらやましいと思うかもしれない。特に今年はすごく野菜が高かったから余計。ホストファザーと話したところ、「それは給料がニュージーランドの方が安いからだよ。ニュージーランドの平均年収は$40,000ドルかもう少し少ないぐらい。日本はいくら？」
「1ドル60円とすると、日本の年収は$80,000ドル（だいたい500万円）ぐらいかなー。」ほとんど2倍！これからは「安い」っていうときは気をつけようって思った。

Second hand (古着)

Yesterday I went to Auckland city with my friend to sell her clothes. The shop selling old clothes is called ‘second hand’. I went to the second hand shop for the first time. The system of the shop is like lent space, because we haven’t gotten the money yet. The sales person said, “Your clothes will sell for 7 weeks when I will pay the money half of the price to you. After 7 weeks, you can come to pick them up or donate them at this store.” It’s a good system for this shop! After that, we ate a little luxury lunch at harbor.

　昨日はオークランドシティに友達と洋服を売りに行きました。古着を売っているお店はこちらでは「セカンドハンド」と呼ばれていて、初めていきました。お店のシステムとしては場所貸しみたいな感じ。お店に持っていっただけでその場でお金をもらえるわけではなく。店員さんが言うには、「あなたの洋服が7週間以内に売れたら、その半分を払うわ。7週間後、売れなかった服を取りにくるか、そのままお店にチャリティするか選べるの。」だって。お店は損しないようにできてるのね。。。その後、ちょっとリッチなランチを海沿いのレストランで食べましたー。

Train (電車)

In New Zealand, train and bus run less than Japan. Train runs about twice or third one hour. In weekend, it runs once an hour. There isn’t any person at the station. When you take a train, a conductor checks your ticket and sell the ticket. I like such easygoing.
Auckland main station is Britomart Station. It’s kind of Tokyo Station in Japan. There are 5 plat forms!



今日もニュージーランドのよくないとこについて、それはバスや電車がぜんぜん少ないこと。電車はだいたい1時間に2,3本。週末だと1時間に1本ぐらい。こんな感じの無人駅です。電車に乗ると、車掌さんがチケットをチェックしにくるので、持ってない場合は買いましょう。私はそんな感じの適当さが好きです。
この写真はオークランドのメインの駅のブリトマート駅。日本で言う東京駅。でも、プラットフォームは5つです。

Sanitary (トイレについて)

I try to write bad things in New Zealand. This is about bout toilet. I think Japanese toilet is the cleanest of the world. (I haven’t seen world toilet.) When I came here, I had to adjust this circumstance. I wonder why Japanese people love toilet. Now, bidet toilet is very very popular in Japan, but I have never seen it other country. However, I miss such a very clean toilet sometimes, because it is not so clean in here. I feel disappointed that I grew up too clean place. I think every thins are important in moderation.

ニュージーランドの悪いところもたまには書こうとおもいます。それはトイレ！
日本のトイレってたぶん世界一きれいなんじゃないかって私は思う。（もちろん世界のトイレ見たわけじゃないけど）ここに来てすぐは、環境に慣れるのにに苦労しました。今も。日本人はなぜこんなにもトイレがすきなのか不思議。というのも、ウォシュレットって日本ではすごーく有名だけど海外で一度もみたことないなーって思うのです。ただ、こっちのトイレはそんなにきれいじゃないので、やっぱりきれいなトイレがなつかしくなることも。そんな時は、きれいな環境で育ちすぎてしまった自分がうらめしくも。。。。なにごともほどほどが肝心だなーと思います。

Exchange (ニュージーランドドルへの両替)

If you want to exchange Yen for NZ Dollar, you should exchange after getting to NZ. It is expensive to exchange in Japan. You can’t also exchange in NZ airport, because it is more expensive than Auckland city. For example, you can buy 68 Yen on the dollar in Narita Airport (Japan) when you can buy 62 Yen on the dollar in Auckland city. (In Auckland Airport, you can perhaps buy 63 Yen on the dollar.) In Auckland, there are a lot of places to make exchange at bank or money exchanger. It is easy. You don’t exchange in Narita Airport. Today, I want to go to Auckland city! See you.

もし円からニュージーランドドルへ両替したいなら、ニュージーランドへついてから両替しましょう。日本だととっても高いです。ニュージーランドの空港も若干高め。お勧めはオークランドシティです。たとえば、成田空港で1ドル68円だとするとオークランドシティでは1ドル62円ぐらい。（オークランドの空港はたぶん63円ぐらい。）オークランドシティには両替できる銀行や両替所がたくさんあるので、簡単です。
成田空港では間違っても両替しないようにしてくださいねー。今日はオークランドシティにいってこようと思いますー。でわでわー。

Homework (宿題)

Occasionally, I write about studying English. This assignment is time order. For example, I use such a first, second, third and finally writing in time-line. I choused ”How to bargain successfully in Japan.” Since I wrote this assignment, I try to upload it to my blog.

たまには英語の勉強について書こうと思います。今回の宿題は、時系列に沿ってライティングすること。たとえば、「まずはじめに、次に、そして、最後に」という時間の順番どおりに記載することです。私が選んだ題材は「日本で上手くショッピングする方法」。せっかく書いたので、ブログにもアップしてみようと思いますー。

“How to bargain successfully in Japan”
You will succeed at bargain in Japan by careful preparation and confidence attitude. There are many markets in Japan. Some markets have fix price, or some markets do not have fix price. You can negotiate the price with a sales person in the latter markets. For a start, you should decide what you want to buy, because it affects where you go in Japan.

For example, if you want to buy fish, you will go to Tsukiji in Tokyo. If you want to buy PC or digital camera, you will go to Akihabara in Tokyo. If you want to buy jewel, you will go to Okachimachi in Tokyo. Next, you should decide how much you want to buy them and write down a list of all what you want to buy. You will prevent forgetting to buy something by doing this. At night before going to market, you should check how to get there and get a map of the market, because the Tokyo subway is complex. Also, you should sleep early. If you want to buy fish, you will get up at 7 o’clock. In the morning, you should go to the market with the list and the map. During the market, you should find something to want to buy them by some stores, because some stores sell same things. You should look for the cheapest store of all them. After finding a store, you should negotiate the price whose you want to buy. It is important for you to negotiate with confidence. Negotiating the price starts from half of your decided price. Then, you should gradually raise your price. The sales person possibly gets the price down. After that, when he says the price under your decided price, you will buy it. Finally, you should say thank you to him and go out the store snappily. Now you can become a professional of bargaining in Japan!

Hard water (硬水)

The water in New Zealand is hard water. Perhaps, the effect of hard water prevents my hair from drying. When I had been in Japan, my hair had always dehydrated. Therefore I had used shampoo, treatment and oil. Now, I use only shampoo. I think hard water is better than soft water for human being. (It is pretty wild guess.)

ニュージーランドの水は硬水です。その影響かわかんないですが、髪がパサつかなくなりました。日本にいたときは、シャンプーだけでなく、リンスやオイルも必要でしたが今はシャンプーだけで大丈夫です。軟水よりも硬水の方が体にいいんじゃないか？と思っています。（私の勝手な憶測ですが。。。。）

ANZ (オーストラリア、ニュージーランド銀行)

I opened bank account at ANZ officially. I applied it in Japan, but I can’t check the balance. I was disappointed ANZ of Japan. However, service of ANZ in New Zealand is great! I collected my bank account card at Auckland branch, so a bank clerk is very kind and beautiful. There are some kinds of account in ANZ. She explained about account security and how to use. She said, “To know saving your money in safety is important for you living in different country. I also came from different country. That’s why I tell you.” I was lucky, because I met one of the best bank clerks. I talked to my friends about ANZ. They said, “I wasn’t explained by the bank clerk in detail.” I am going to send thank-you e-mail to ANZ.

オーストラリア、ニュージーランド銀行（ANZ）の口座を正式に開きました。日本でも申し込んでたのですが、日本では残高照会もできない状態でANZにがっかり。しかしニュージーランドのANZのサービスはとってもいいです。キャッシュカードをとりにオークランド支店にいったら、窓口の女性がとても親切に教えてくれました。しかも美人！ANZにはいくつかの種類の口座があり、どれが安全かとかインターネットバンキングの使い方とか教えてくれて、「外国に来たあなたにとって、安全にお金を保管することはとても大事よ。私もここに移住して来たから遠慮しないで何でも聞いて。」といってました。私はとっても親切な人に会えたのでラッキーだったかも。友達に聞いてみても、みんな「そんな詳細に説明受けてない。」って。こんどありがとメールでも送ろうかなーって思ってます。

Summer time in NZ (ニュージーランドのサマータイム)

Summer time starts from today(27/09/2009) in NZ. Summer time is called "Daylight saving time" in Unaited States. There are 4 hours difference between Japan and New Zealand. I think I will sleep early tonight. This week was bad weather, but today is fine. My iphone changed time automatically. It's a nice day today! See you.

ニュージーランドは今日2009/09/27からサマータイムです。アメリカでは「デイライトセイビングタイム」というらしく略してDSTと呼ぶそうです直訳だと日光節約時間。日本とニュージーランドの時差は４時間になりました。今日は早く寝ようと思います。今週は天気悪かったですが、今日は晴れていい天気です。ちなみに私のiphoneは自動的にサマータイムへ変わっていました！！でわでわまた！

English school in NZ (ニュージーランドの語学学校について)

I though students of English school did not study hard before I came here, but almost all students study earnestly. Especially, my classmates (EAP: English for Academic Purpose) are in attendance and do their homework every day, because if you are decided not to have a right this class, you will return General English class. EAP homework is 10 vocabularies and 1 or 2 pages writing everyday and 1 page reading sometimes. Homework of EAP is more than General English one’s.
But General English class students also study earnestly. A few students are late or go away during class. I was amazed at this situation.
In New Zealand, if you attend the class less than 90%, you will have possible not to apply continuance of your student visa. If you attend the class less than 80%, you will have possible to be deported to your country. However, when you are absence due to illness, it doesn't count absence, so sometimes my classmates are absent due to illness. They study harder than I expected.

　ニュージーランドに来る前は語学学校の生徒はそんなに勉強しないと思っていたけど。ほとんどの生徒が熱心に勉強していてびっくり。特に私のクラスは（EAPという大学や専門学校へ進みたい人向けのクラス）、もし英語のレベルがこのクラスに適さないと判断されると、ジェネラルイングリッシュクラスに返されてしまうので、みんな毎日学校に来るし、宿題も毎日やってくる。EAPの私のクラスの宿題は10個の英単語のテストとライティング1,2ページで時々リーディングも1ページぐらい。EAPのホームワークはジェネラルイングリッシュよりも多いです。
　ジェネラルイングリッシュの生徒も割りとまじめ。数人の生徒は遅れたり、授業中どっかへいっちゃったりするけど、総じてみんな勉強に来てます。それなので、最初は結構びっくりしました。
　ニュージーランドでは、学校の出席率が90％以下になると学生ビザの延長ができない可能性があり、80％以下になると強制送還される可能性があるそうです。ただし、病欠は欠席扱いにはならないので、たまに病欠のクラスメートもいます。私の予想よりもみんな勉強していて、びっくりです。

Waste2 (ごみ収集2)

Cross the street (道を渡る)

Crossing the street in NZ is one of most difficult things for Japanese, because it isn’t signal here. (In Japan, there are signals everywhere.) How do you cross the street? When there is a crossing, you can go on the crossing. Almost all cars stop short of it.
When there is not a crossing, you have to look carefully. Maybe the cars don’t stop. So, when you cross the street, you take responsibility for your actions.

日本人にとって難しいことの一つがニュージーランドで道を渡ることじゃないかと思う。理由は信号がないから。（日本の場合、信号がほとんどありますよね。）どうやって道を渡ればよいかというと、横断歩道を渡るときは、ほとんどの車が止まってくれます。
横断歩道がない場合、ほとんどの車は止まってくれないので十分注意してみる必要があります。それなので、道を渡るときは自己責任で十分注意が必要です。

Southern Cross (南十字星)

Did you see the Southern Cross? I saw it the day before yesterday.
It is beautiful! I came all the way to south hemisphere, so I said to my host father I want to see the Southern Cross. Then, I can see it same day. That day is cloudy．So, he said "You wait to see it." After that, he taugght me, “You can see it today. Come on! That is the Southern Cross.”
This week is bad weather, but I can clearly see the stars. I’m lucky!

南十字星をみたことがありますか。私はおとといみました。
とってもきれいでした。せっかく南半球に来たのだから南十字星をみたいとホストファザーにいったところ。その日にみれました。その日は曇りで、「もう少し待たないとだめだね」っていわれたばっかりだったけど。すぐ後に「今日見れるよ。こっちにきなさい。あれが南十字星だ。」と教えてくれました。
今週は天気がわるかったですが、とってもきれいに見えてラッキー。

Duo3.0

Many people access this site searching “Duo3.0.” For once, I write about to study English.
Do you know “Duo3.0”? First, I used it to memorize word. It’s shadowing. (For detail this page) This book is made for easy to remember ward meaning. One sentence includes 2-4 frequency used words.
Now, I used writing sample. For example, “If I were you, I’d ask him out!” It’s difficult for me to make this sentence. But if I know this sentence, I will change suitable words and make the sentence. I slowly study this book everyday.

Duo3.0というキーワードでこのサイトを訪れる方が多いので、たまには英語の勉強について書きます。
Duo3.0知ってますか？最初、私は単語を覚えるためにシャドーイングをしながら利用しました。（シャドーイングの詳しい説明はこちら）この本は単語の意味を簡単に理解できるようにできています。ひとつの文章に2-4の頻出単語が入ってのです。
今は、ライティングの英文サンプルとして使ってます。たとえば、「私だったら彼をデートにさそうわ。」っていう文章。普通に作ろうとすると難しいけど、この文章をしっていれば単語を状況に合うように変えれば、文章ができる。こういうセンテンスを知っているかが重要だと思うので、毎日少しずつ勉強してます。興味のある方はこちらからどうぞー

Coffee (コーヒー)

I like coffee. When I wake up, I have a coffee everyday.
There are many kind of coffee in New Zealand. And it is cheaper than Japan. But name is different from Japan. Black is Long black. Latte is two kinds: Latte and Flat white. I think pronunciation of Flat white is difficult for Japanese. If you order it, you will say sounds like, “fla wha”. Because it is easier for KIWI to understand what you order. If you say, ”Flat white,” maybe they can’t understand. It’s difficult pronunciation for me.

私はコーヒーが好きです。朝起きると毎日飲んでます。
ニュージーランドにもたくさんの種類のコーヒーがあって、日本よりも安い。ただ名前が日本と違います。
たとえばブラックはロングブラック。ラテには2種類あってラテとフラットホワイト。このフラットホワイトの発音が日本人には難しいと思う。
もしオーダーする際は「フラホワ」ぐらいな感じじゃないと何をオーダーしたいのかわかってもらえない。もし「フラットホワイト」と言った場合、たぶんわかってもらえない。（人によるけど）
私にはフラットホワイト難しいですー。

War plain in Auckland museum (オークランド博物館のゼロ戦)

There are a lot of thing on display in Auckland museum: old dresses, antique furniture, about Maori, volcano, creature, ocean, history and war. It is interesting!
Japanese warplane is one of the most interesting displays. When I saw it, I was amazed. I had never seen a real warplane in Japan. I saw it for the first time in New Zealand! As I read the description. New Zealander spent more than enough time to fix it. Because they wanna stop Japanese soldiers to join kamikaze. So the war ended. This plane flew a few times.

オークランド博物館にはいろんなものがあります。古いドレスやアンティークの家具、マオリについて、地震、生物、海の生物、歴史、戦争。とっても面白い。
面白い展示品のひとつは日本の戦闘機、ゼロ戦。これを見たときは本当におどろきました。だって本物のゼロ戦だって日本で見たことないのに。まさかニュージーランドで初対面するとは、、、、
説明をよんでみると、わざと修理を遅らせて終戦を迎えたらしい。この飛行機は数回しか飛行してないそうです。

Auckland museum (オークランド博物館)

I went to the Auckland museum today. Because my host father recommended there for me.
This is in the huge garden near the Auckland city. And this building is the biggest in the south hemisphere. It's fantastic!
I think it is important to lay down a green place in downtown. Tokyo don't have enough space to build a huge garden. It's too bad.

今日はオークランド博物館にいってきました。理由は、ホストファザーがここをおすすめしてくれたからです。
オークランド博物館は巨大な庭園の中にあって南半球最大の建物です。とても素敵でした！
オフィス街に庭園を造ることはすごく重要だと思うんですが、東京は十分なスペースがなくて残念です。

Trampoline (トランポリン)

When I went out my home, my host family children jumped on a trampoline in the garden this morning. I said my host mother, "Oh! Your children jump on the trampoline."
She said, "I kow. They play wrestling. But I don't look outside. Because I am scared. When they played wrestling before, my daughter said I shoud look at them. But I don't look."
My host family children full of energy! They are cute!

今朝、家をでるとき、ホストファミリーの子供たちが庭にあるトランポリンでジャンプしてた。ホストマザーに「みんなトランポリンでジャンプしてるよ！」っていったら。
彼女は「わかってるわ。彼らはレスリングしてるのよ。でも怖いから、絶対外はみないの。前に同じようにしレスリングしてたときに、娘にも見たほうがいいっていわれたけど。見ないようにしてる。」だって。
ホストファミリーの子達は元気いっぱい。みんなかわいいですー！

Waste (ごみについて)

I was amazed at wasted truck on my way to school in the morning. Because it is all automatic.　Each house put wasted basket on the street like a picture. A wasted truck comes there and lifts it with the truck's arm and throw away the waste in the tunk of truck. Anyone don't need to take off the truck! Amazeing!
I talked about it to my host mother. "In Japan, each house bring the waste to a setting point. Wasted truck comes there. Someone takes off the truck and collects waste. It is manual labor."
She said, "In New Zealand, It used to be like Japan. But now it is automatic."
I hope it is adopted in Japan.

ある朝学校に行くときにゴミ収集車をみてすごくびっくりした。というのも全部自動化されているから。
どういうことかというと、それぞれの家がゴミ箱を写真のように道路においておくと。ゴミ収集車がきて収集車についたアームでごみを持ち上げてトラックのタンクへ捨てるという仕組み。それなのでだれもトラックから降りてくる必要がない！すごい！
「日本ではそれぞれの家が決められた場所にごみをもっていって、ゴミ収集車がそこに来て、車にごみをつんでいくの。手作業なんだ。」ってホストマザーにいったところ。
「ニュージーランドも昔は日本みたいだったんだよ。今は全部自動化されてるけどね。」だって。
日本でも導入されたらいいのになー。

God boy! (God boy!の意味)

I played cards with my host mother and youngest brother. (Memory and fish – I forgot name.)
When we play the memory, I realized something. If he found the pair, my host mother said good boy every time. What does “Good boy!” mean? I don’t know. I think this word has not also god but only some means.
I ask my teacher. She said, "God boy! means praise. Well-done and god on you are same meaning."
If I have a child, I will bring up like my host motyher.

ホストファミリーのお母さんと一番下の男の子とトランプをして遊んだ。（神経衰弱とフィッシュなんとかっていう名前だけど忘れました。）
神経衰弱をしていて、男の子がペアをみつけたときに必ずお母さんが"God boy!"ということに気づいた。
普通に直訳すると「いい子だ！」だけどなんかちょっと違う気がする。
先生に聞いてみたところ、些細なことでもKIWIは"God boy!"とほめるのよ。"Well-done"や"Good on you"も同じ意味だって。"Good on you"って意味を勘違いしてた。
もし子供ができたらこんな風に育てたいなー。

Boyfriend (彼氏)

I attended the class with another Japanese guy same day. I met him for days ago. Yesterday, he was absent. So my classmate and teacher asked me why he is absent. Of course, I don’t know. 私はもう一人の日本人の男性と同じ日にクラスに入った。彼と会ったのは3日前。
昨日は彼が休んでいたため、クラスメートや先生が「なんで彼は休んでるんだ。」と私に聞いてきた。
でも、もちろんそんな理由は知らないので、なんで私に彼のことを聞いてくるのかなーっと思っていたら。
クラスメートの一人が私に「彼、あなたの彼氏だと思ってたわ。だって同じ日に入ってきたんだもん。」だって。
「えー！私は結婚してるし、私のだんなの方がもっとかっこいいよ。」といっておきましたが。たぶんみんなそう思ってたんだろうな。。。。

About NZ (NZについて)

I talked about New Zealand people and New Zealand beautiful places with my host father yesterday. He is so kind and cool. (My host family members are beautiful ladies and handsome men.)
He says New Zealand history is about 170 years. So popular people is less than other country. But New Zealand has so many beautiful places. He recommended me to go to Rotorua and Taupo on weekend .
He talk to me every day. So it is so good for me.

昨日はホストファザーとニュージーランドの人やニュージーランドの観光地について話した。
彼はとても親切でかっこいい！（うちのホストファミリーはお世辞でなくみんな美男美女）
ニュージーランドの歴史は170年ぐらいだから有名な人はほかの国より少ないけど。きれいなところはたくさんあるよって。
週末にロトルアやタウポにいくといいよってすすめてくれました。
ホストファザーは毎日話しかけてくれるので、とてもためになりますー。

Result of the exam (入学テストの結果)

I receive the result of the exam this afternoon. I mistook about writing.
EAP(English Academic Purpose) which I want to join, is two classes; EAP1 and EAP2. EAP2 is more difficult than EAP1.
If you want to join the EAP2, you will get more than 30 points. Takig the score of 25-29 points can join EAP1. My score is 24. But I can attend the EAP1 tomorrow, whoof!

あのライティングテストで失敗した、テストの結果を午後に受け取った。
私が参加しようと思っているEAP(English Academic Purepose)にはEAP1とEAP2の二つのクラスがある。
EAP2の方がよりハイレベルなクラスで、もしEAP2に入りたい場合30ポイント以上とらないといけなくて、25-29ポイントとるとEAP1に入れる。私のスコアは24ポイント。
もう一回テスト受けなきゃいけないかと思ったけど、EAP1に明日から参加していいといってたので、とりあえずよかった。

Exam (入学テスト)

I took an exam for joining more high-level course the day before yesterday. The result hasn’t been decided yet. So I belonged the temporally class yesterday.
This exam consists of three parts: listening, reading and writing. It’s like IELTS. But this exam’s time is shorter than IELTS.
When I finished this exam, I realized I had mistaken “crime rate” for “climate rate” in writing part. This writing test is about increasing crime rate in the world to use more than 200 words. In short, I mistook the theme : )

おとといよりハイレベルなコースに参加するためのテストを受けました。
昨日はまだ結果がでてなかったのでテンポラリーで別のクラスへ参加。
おととい受けたテストはリスニング、リーディング、ライティングの3つのパートからなりたっていて、IELTSのようなテストだった。
テストが終わったときに重大なミスに気づいて、ライティングパートの「犯罪率」を「気候変動率」と勘違いしてた。このライティングテストは200字以上で犯罪率の増加について書きなさいというもの。
要は主題を間違えちゃいました ^^

Spring in September (9月の春)

Spring comes in New Zealand. It is very beautiful cherry blossoms. I feel like a strange because of blooming flowers in September.
I attended the class for the first time yesterday afternoon. The class has 10 people. This class aims to academic purpose such as Degree, Diploma or Certificate.
First lesson is ‘Speed reading’. The kind of ‘to do something quickly’ is difficult for me. But I want to read english article quickly.

ニュージーランドは春です。それなので、桜が満開でとってもきれいですが、日本人にとって9月に桜が満開ってへんな気分。やっぱりこっちは南半球なんだなーって思い出します。
昨日の午後から授業に参加しました。私のクラスは10人ぐらいで、大学やディプロマ、サーティフィケートなどの進学を目的としたコースです。
初めのレッスンは「スピードリーディング」。なにかを早くやるというのは、私にとってはとても難しいことなのですが、英語記事を早く読めるようになりたいので、がんばります。

Arrive at New Zealand (ニュージーランドに着きました)

I arrived at New Zealand yesterday. My host family is so good. Because they are kind and warm. I love them already.
My host family has 6 people, 2 cats and 1 dog. They are big family. So their house is big! Maybe 10 rooms, 2 bathroom and small pool. I was amazed at their house.
I am tired today. I go to home.

昨日ニュージーランドにつきました。私のホストファミリーは親切でやさしくてすごくいい家族なのですぐに好きになりました。
ホストファミリーは6人家族で2匹の猫と1匹の犬がいるので大家族。
で、それだけ大きな家に住んでます。だいたい10部屋ぐらいあって2つのバスルームがあって小さなプールがあるので見てすごくびっくりしました。
今日は疲れたのでこのぐらいで家に帰ります！

Certificate of residence (住民票がニュージーランドになった)

I applied for certificate of residence to New Zealand. It's duty. If you don't apply for it, you will pay a fine of less than 50,000yen.

Advantages of applying for certificate of residence to overseas
1. Paying National Pension Plan is on a voluntary basis.
2. You can't are enlisted in the national health insurance system.
3. You will forgive a residence tax next year.

住民票をニュージーランドへ変更しました。これは義務だそうで、申請しないと50,000円以下の過料だそうです。

申請することのメリットは
1.国民年金が任意になる
2.国民健康保険に加入できなくなる
3.翌年の住民税が請求されなくなる
※ただし、人によって状況が異なるので詳しくは自分でしらべてね。

At last, I will go to New Zealand tomorrow. I miss my husband and my friends already.
I want to say "Thank you for seeing me on such short notice!" to my friends and "Thank you for working during my overseas education!" to my husband.
I am going to come back Japan on 26th December. So I will do my best for 4 months.

Origami (おりがみ)

I looked for Origami to tell Japanese culture to host family. I was amazed at recent Origami.
The reason is that you can make cakes, ice cream and Pokemon by Origami!!
If you want to buy these Origami, you will get ones.
But I bought a traditional Origami.

なぜかというとおりがみでケーキやアイスクリーム、ポケモンが作れる！

Remittance by Shinsei Bank (新生銀行で海外送金をする)

I found the best way that someone send a remittance to overseas by Shinsei Bank.
It is that I register this remittance address on Shinsei Bank. It is very simple! When you send a remittance, you check the box corresponding to register remittance address on the form.
If you check this box, you will receive a call from Shinsei Bank. The call is to have remitted money and registered this address. So I solve the problem that I can't check the ANZ's account balance in JAPAN. And I can send money to this recipient by phone from next time.
If you don't check this box, you won't receive anything. Therefore you don't send money this recipient next time. I think that checking the box is better in the end.

新生銀行で海外送金する場合にいい方法を見つけました。
それは送金先を新生銀行に登録することです。方法は簡単で、海外送金の際に申込書の海外送金登録の項目にチェックをするだけ。
チェックをすると、新生銀行から電話が来て海外送金の完了と送金先の登録の完了を教えてくれます。それなので、ANZの残高照会ができないという問題はとりあえず別の方法で解決しました。また登録しておくと今後は電話で送金できます。
もしチェックしていないと、なにも連絡がきません。
なので仮に次回送金しなくても、チェックを入れた方が良いと思います。

IELTS （IELTS勉強法）

I have not written about TOEIC for long time. I stopped studying TOEIC in June.
Because I can't prove my English skill by TOEIC in New Zealand.
IELTS is more popular than TOEIC in New Zealand.
IELTS consists of four modules: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
You have a choice of Academic and General training.These modules have different Reading and Writing papers. I will take a test Academic training.
I will write about how to study IELTS next time.

TOEICについてずっと書いてなかったですが、6月からTOEICの勉強はしてません。
というのも、TOEICではニュージーランドで英語のスキルを証明できないからです。
ニュージーランドではTOEICよりIELTSの方がメジャーです。
IELTSはリスニング、リーディング、ライティング、スピーキングの4つのモジュールから成り立っています。
目的によってアカデミックとジェネラルを選択します。私は進学のために必要なので、アカデミックを選択しています。
IELTSの勉強法は次回書きます。

Festival (さんま祭り)

Today, I went to Meguro festival. This festival is served Pacific saurys which is baked.
6000 Pacific saurys are free! So there are many people who waite to eat it. And there is filled with baking Pacific saury's smoke.
I didn't eat Pacific saury. But I bought a chance at 100 yen to grab Japanese limes twice. I can get about 20 Japanese limes! I was interested in this festival.

今日は目黒のさんま祭りに行きました。さんま祭りの名前の通り、さんまを焼くお祭りです。
6000匹のさんまが無料なので、食べるためにたくさんの人たちが並んでました。あと煙もすごい！
私はさんまは食べなかったけど、すだちのつかみ取りを100円で2回やって20こぐらいのすだちをゲット！
面白いんで、機会があったら行ってみてくださーい。

Insurance (留学保険について)

I worried about insurance during overseas education. Because Japanese insurance is very expensive.
For example, AIU is famous for the Insurance in JAPAN. If you contract for one year, it will cost at least 114,470yen. I am well-being. Do I need this expensive insurance?
The other Japanese insurance company's cost are as same as AIU's.
But Uni-care which is insurance in New Zealand, is half as much as Japanese one.
Why are there difference between Japanese insurance and New Zealand's one?
Through my research I found that Japanese Insurance focus on death insurance. Comparatively, New Zealand's Insurance doesn't pay money in case of death.
I think that Uni-care is good for me. However insurance claim is accepted in English only. So I will combine use of Uni-care and credit card with travel accident insurance.
I subscribed to Uni-care until December 2009. When it run out of the contract, I revise it.

保険についてかなり悩みました。というのも日本の留学保険は高額なのです。
たとえば、誰でも知っているAIUで1年契約した場合最低でも114,470円。
私は本当に健康なのに、こんな高額な保険が果たして必要なのか？？
他にも三井住友海上、東京海上日動、エース損害保険なども見てみましたがほぼ同じ。
いろいろ見たところ、ニュージーランドにあるユニケア保険は日本の保険の約半額。
日本の保険とニュージーランドのこの違いはなんなんだろう？
と思って調べたところ日本の保険の場合死亡保険という意味合いが強く、ニュージーランドの保険は医療やけがに対する保険に重きを置いているからということらしい。

ユニケア保険と日本の保険の比較は下の表を参考にしてください。
私にはユニケア保険があっていそうだけれども、英語でしか保険金の請求を受け付けてくれないので、クレジットカードに付帯している海外保険とユニケア保険を併用することにしました。
一応12月末まで申し込んだので、そのときに再度見直す予定です！
※比較表を一応書きましたが、項目によって条件が各会社で異なるので、申込みの際はご自身で確認してください。

Letter to host family (ホストファミリーへの手紙)

I wrote a letter to my host family yesterday.
It is difficult for me to write the letter in English. So I referred to eigotown.com web site. It is helpful!
But this sample is boring. Therefore I arranged this sample.
I hope that my host family will be looking forward to seeing me.

昨日ホストファミリーへ手紙を書きました。
英語で手紙を書くのは難しいので、英語タウンのサイトを参考にした。

これは助かります！が、面白みに欠けるので、このサンプルをアレンジして書きました。

Overseas remittance (ニュージーランド留学準備 海外送金2)

I haven't written about New Zealand Banks.
Actually, I opened bank account of Australia New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ).Today, I sent my money to the new account from Shinsei Bank. But I worry whether that remittance has finished or not. Because I can't check the balance in JAPAN.
ANZ officer said "If the remittance is failed, you will receive the message from Bank." I wish I could check the balance in JAPAN.
I will stay in JAPAN only 10days. I hope that this remittance is successful and ANZ improves service better than now.

ニュージーランドの銀行について書いてなかったですが、実はオーストラリアニュージーランド銀行（ANZ）の口座を開設してました。ANZの口座開設についてはこちらのANZのページを見てください。
今日、新生銀行で送金してきたのですが、

ちゃんと送金できたか心配。。。というのも日本では残高照会ができないらしい。
ANZの人が言うには、「送金が失敗したら、銀行から連絡がくるのでそれでわかる」と。
ええええそうなんだー！日本でも残高照会ぐらいできればいいのに。。。。
あと10日しか日本にいないので、ちゃんと送金できてますように。
ANZのサービスももうちょっと向上してほしい。

I manage overseas education tasks by Google Tasks. It's very useful!
Because Google Tasks is checked everywhere such as PC and iPhone.
And while I use the internet to send email by Gmail, I can confirm it and add a new task to the list at any time.
I updated the To Do List of overseas education today. I have just a bit more things to do before going to NZ.

Chinese-style barbecued pork (チャーシュー)

I cooked char siu. Char siu is a Chinese-style barbecued pork. It's very tasty and one of the most popular food in Japan. I like it.
If you want to cook char siu, you will make it from this recipe.

Ingredients:
garlic a clove
ginger a clove
water 200cc
rice wine (white wine) 200cc
soy sauce 70cc
sweet cooking rice wine 30cc

Directions:
1. Slice a garlic and a ginger.
2. Heat water, rice wine, soy sauce, sweet cooking rice wine, sliced garlic and sliced ginger in a pot over high heat.
3. When the sauce boils, add the pork back ribs and cook covered for 3 hours on low heat.

It is simple!

今日はチャーシューつくりました。
日本では有名なのでチャーシューの説明ははぶきます。
もしチャーシューつくるようでしたら参考にしてください。

材料
豚ばら肉　600g
にんにく　一かけ
しょうが　一かけ
水　200cc
日本酒　200ｃｃ
しょうゆ　70ｃｃ
みりん　30cc

作り方
1.にんにくとしょうがを薄切りにします。
2.水、日本酒、しょうゆ、みりん、にんにく、しょうがを鍋に入れ強火で火にかけます。
3.沸騰したら豚バラ肉を入れてふたをして弱火で3時間煮てできあがりです。

My host family is determined! (ホストファミリーが決定)

Today I heard from my school staff that my host family was determined.
My host family's house is a 15-minute walk away from my school.
They are six-member family (Mam, Dad, a sister, three brothers)! Wow!
I live with only my husband now.
When I go to New Zealand, I will live with six-member family.
I worry about whether I will be able to get along with them.
But my family were five members when I was young.
I think that it is common in all countries to savor the food, eating with passion.
I can work it out.

ホストファミリーが決定したと学校のスタッフの人から連絡をもらった。
ホストの家は学校から歩いて15分ぐらいのところ。
そして、なんと6人家族（お母さん、お父さん、1人姉妹、3人の兄弟）！
今は旦那と二人で暮らしている私が、ニュージーランドに行って6人家族の一員になれるのか？
まーでも思い出してみれば私も昔は5人家族だった。
食べ物の取り合いとか万国共通な気もするのでなんとかなるかな。

Apply for a student visa of New Zealand 2 (ニュージーランドの学生ビザの申請 2)

Today I went to New Zealand embassy to apply for a student visa.
I heard that it took longer than two weeks to get a visa.
But I got a visa soon.
Amazing! New Zealand embassy!
And a embassy staff who works the front desk is nice-looking.
I'm looking forward to going to New Zealand!

2週間かかると聞いていたのに、すぐに発行してもらってびっくり。

Apply for a student visa of New Zealand (ニュージーランドの学生ビザの申請)

Today I filled out Application to Study in New Zealand NZIS1012.
Kickoff New Zealand website was used as reference.
*Kickoff New Zealand needs to subscribe to down load a description.

It was difficult for me to understand these questions sometimes.
Because some questions are not available in Japan.
For example,the question of "A11 Partnership status" have some choices.
The one of choices is "Married/in civil union".
I understood "Married".
But I didn't know "in civil union".
If you look up it in the dictionary, it says "same-sex married couple".
In Japan,the idea of "same-sex married couple" do not exist.
I wonder whether this answer check or not.
However there are many people who want to study in New Zealand from all over the world.
Therefore this idea is a global standard.


今日から英語/日本語でブログを書こうと思います。
いつまで続くかわかんないですが、とりあえずチャレンジってことで。
学生ビザの申請書書いています。
ニュージーランド学生ビザ申請書：Application to Study in New Zealand NZIS1012
会員登録は必要だけどキックオフNZの書き方の説明が一番わかりやすかったです。
ただし、ちょっと古いので注意してください。

このビザ申請書の質問がかなり難解。。。
というのも英語がというよりは文化の違いの部分でかなり悩みました。
たとえば"A11 Partnership status"の回答の選択肢に"Married/in civil union"とあり、わたしはMarriedなのでこれでいいとはおもいつつin civil unionが引っかかるので辞書で調べると"市民の結合、同性結婚"とある。
果たしてこれにチェックをいれちゃってよいのか。。。。
まーでも思い直してグローバルに考えればそっちが当たり前なのかと考え直して記入完了。
今日の教訓「ビザの申請をする際はグローバルな気持ちで。」

ニュージーランド留学準備 (学校の下見(2))

行って来ました。
冬だったので、ちょっとあまり観光って感じじゃなかったですが・・・・
でもクライストチャーチはトランジットで降りただけだったけどとってもきれい！

冬だったけど、学校の下見や授業にも参加させてもらえたので、留学考えている人はぜひ一度学校を下見することをお勧めします！

オークランドの中心から電車で15分ぐらいのとこです。

ニュージーランド留学準備 (海外送金)

ニュージーランド留学のための学生ビザをとるためには、ニュージーランドの学費を納めたレシートが必要です。
そこで海外送金やお金の持って行きかたを書きたいと思います。

海外送金方法
1.日本で外貨預金を購入しNZドルのまま送金
　　メリット:円高のときにNZドルへ換金しておくとレートの変動を考慮しなくてよくなる
　　デメリット:日本からの海外送金は手数料が高い（例　新生銀行　4,000円/1件）

2.日本円で学校やエージェントなどの日本の口座に送金
　　メリット:振込み手数料が安く、NZドルへの変換レートも日本よりNZの方がよい
　　デメリット:NZドルへの変換レートによって円の送金額が変動

3.GOロイズを利用して送金
　　メリット:振込み手数料が2,000円なので海外送金の価格としてはとても安い
　　デメリット:円での送金のみということと、日本に居住していることが条件なので学費の支払いが可能かどうかは不明


ということで、どれもメリットデメリットがあるので人それぞれになってしまいますね。

私の場合は、以下のような感じです。

1.円高のときに学費分をNZドルの外貨預金を新生銀行で積み立て
2.新生銀行の窓口で海外送金
　（ただし、これが非常に大変。新生銀行の支店によって送金に必要な情報が違っていて3店舗も回る羽目に。。。おすすめは広尾支店です。）
3.残った外貨預金はオーストラリアニュージーランド銀行(ANZ)の現地口座開設取次ぎサービスを申込み
4.残りの外貨を新生銀行からANZへ送金予定

ただし、これには以下の問題点があります。

先に外貨を購入してしまうことの問題点
・エージェントや語学学校の中には日本の口座を持っているところがほとんどなので、外貨に交換すると振込み手数料が高くつく
・オーストラリアニュージーランド銀行(ANZ)の現地口座開設取次ぎサービスを申込むと現地での開設料は無料なのに日本で開設すると最低申込み金50,000円がかかる（手数料9,000円込み）
・オーストラリアニュージーランド銀行(ANZ)の現地口座開設取次ぎサービスを申込むと海外送金となるのでまた振込み手数料がかかる

という問題があるためよっぽどレートが良いとき以外はNZドルを購入せず日本円で、GOロイズに家族のかたに登録してもらって現地口座開設後送金してもらうのが一番よさそうです。

先週いってきました。
ニュージーランドの語学学校の下見です！！
一日体験入学もできて、とてもよかったです。
学校に行くまではいろいろ心配なことがたくさんありましたが、事前に見ることで9月から安心して通えそうです。

前回書いたとおり私の場合、英語がゴールではなくその先の身に付けたいコースがある学校かどうかで選びました。

それなので、もしかしたらあまり参考にはならないかもしれないですが、以下の学校を検討しました。
本当は卒業までにかかる費用を全部計算したほうがいいと思うけど、ざっくりと書きます。

場所はクライストチャーチやネイピアに興味があったのですが、一番私に向いているオークランドの学校にしました。
日本人のカウンセラーがいない学校でも、興味のある学校へは問い合わせしてみるといいと思います。
みんないろいろ教えてくれます。

目黒不動尊

昨日は五反田までチャリでおでかけ。
途中で目黒不動尊によったら、水かけ不動明王というのがありました。
本当に水かけてお祈りするのでびっくり。
バシャバシャかけてきましたー！

ニュージーランドの語学学校選定 (1)

ニュージーランドの語学学校選定について、私の選定方法を記載しておきます。
ひとそれぞれ状況が違うと思うので、私の場合はまず留学してどうするのかというのをいろいろ考えました。
結構いい年なので、その辺も考慮にいれて。。。。（笑）

－留学後の目標－
・ニュージーランドで暮らしたい！

－目標を実現させるために－
・英語力アップ
・ニュージーランドで仕事を得る

－ニュージーランドで働くために－
・今までやってきた仕事の経験を生かす
・ポリテクニックへ行って英語力＆技術力を身に付ける

－なるべく早く仕事を得るために－
・ニュージーランドに行くまでになるべく英語力をアップする
・ポリテクニックへなるべく早く進学できるようにする

－語学学校へ求めること－
・ポリテクニックと併設した学校
・進学して自分の進みたい分野のDiplomaやCertificateが取れること
・極力費用が安いこと

という感じで考えていきました。
このあたりの状況は本当にひとそれぞれだと思うので、あくまでも参考程度でお願いします。

あと、写真にはないけど、トマトパスタ。
赤ワインと共に美味しくいただきましたー！

TOEIC200点アップ！

今日、TOEICのスコアがかえってきました。
前回のスコアと比べると、200点アップですー！
まあ、前回が出来なすぎだったんだけど、、、
詳細は以下のとおりです。

これを見ると明らかにリスニングに助けられてる。
でもまあ、とりあえずスコアアップしたので良かった。

TOEIC勉強法(3) -リーディング-

勉強方法じゃないですが、TOEICのリーディングは時間配分がカギだと思います。
もちろん、全然時間足りないなんて思ったことないって人は、全然参考にならないですが、ある程度時間配分でスコアアップできると思います。

実際の時間配分は以下のとおりです。

リーディング時間配分
Part5 20分
Part6 6分
Part7 長文1文 26分
長文2文 18分
最終チェック 5分

こんな感じの時間配分です。
ただいつもPart5やPart7の長文が全部終わらず、大抵最終チェックは飛ばした問題をなんとか5分で終えて終了って感じです。
なので時間内の終了目指して特訓中！

TOEIC勉強法(2) -リスニング-

今日は、リスニングのROEIC勉強法について。

知っているかもしれないですが、リスニングは、Part１からPart４まであります。
それぞれのPartについては以下のとおりです。

Part1：写真を見て描写に合う文選ぶパターン
Part2：二人の短い会話でほとんどが疑問に対する答えを選ぶパターン
Part3：二人の会話が流れ問題に記載されている３つの質問に答えるパターン
Part4:一人のアナウンスや留守電のボイスメモのようなもので、問題に記載されている３つの質問に答えるパターン
TOEICの勉強をしようと思っている人たちは、もちろん知っていると思いますが、、、、

で、一番効果的だと思う勉強法ですが、シャドーイングです。

正しいシャドーイングのやり方があるのかわからないですが、私の場合思いっきり自己流なのでご容赦ください。

-リスニングパートのシャドーイングのやり方-
1.TOEICの模擬テストの本を用意してください。あたりまえだけど、必ずCDがついているものでやりましょう。

2.リスニングパートをiphoneとかみじかなMP3プレーヤーに落として準備完了。

3．ここからは、リスニングのレベルにもよりますが私の場合はテキストをみながらCDの音声についていきます。ある程度聞き取れる人はテキストなしでもいいかもしれません。
一番重要なのは、なるべくCDの音声と同じように発音することです。ただ、通勤途中などにやる場合は頭の中だけでしかできませんが、、、。
実際に声に出してみると、全然口がついていかないので最初のうちは大変だと思いますが、それを乗り越えるとかなり単語自体が聞き取れるようになるので、ぐっと我慢して同じようにいえるまで繰り返してください。

4．TOEIC模擬テストの2～4回分ぐらいを同じようにやりましょう。
このあたりは、おそらくどのぐらいの時間が避けるかなどでだいぶ変わってくると思うので状況に応じて実施してください。

TOEIC勉強法（1)

だいぶ間があいてしまいましたが、仕事もやめて晴れて自由の身になったので、私のTOEIC勉強法を備忘録的に書きたいと思います。
そもそも3月に受けたTOEICの成績が480点という散々な結果だったため、このままでは留学自体が危ういと思い、真剣に勉強をすることにした。

まずは知っている単語の数が明らかに少なすぎるので、DUO3.0で学習をはじめた。
DUO3.0を知らない方は、リンク貼ってますので見てください。
いろいろ検索するとDUO3.0の勉強法が書いてありますが、私もならってシャドーイングをはじめました。

－DUO3.0勉強法－
1.DUO3.0の本とCD（復習用）を用意。
　（基礎用でもいいのかもしれませんが私は使ったことがないのでなんともいえません）

2.DUO3.0は４５Sectionあり、１Sectionあたり９～１９の例文で構成されているので、1日１Sectionだとすると45日かかる。それなので、自分のペースや試験日を考慮に入れてスケジュールをたてる。
　私は早く終了させてしまいたかったので、1日3Sectionで2週間ちょっとかかって1周しました。その後は1日1回1周するというのを1ヶ月繰り返して実施。
　おすすめは、やはり記憶力が薄れないうちに何回も繰り返すのが効果的だと思います。

3.DUO3.0の勉強法に入ります。まず１Sectionの例文とその例文の意味を読んで理解します。
　知らない単語があれば、下の単語の説明欄をよみましょう。

4.例文理解が終わったら、さっそくシャドーイングに入ります。私はCDをiphoneに入れて、英語を再生し、その例文にかぶせて自分も同じように発音します。
　最初は、本を見ながらでも早すぎてついていくのは難しいかも知れませんが、なるべくまねをしてください。1文ずつストップしながらでもついていけるようになったら、今度は英文の意味をイメージしながらシャドーイングしてください。

5.前述のようにシャドーイングを繰り返し1冊終了したら、1日1回同じようにシャドーイングを繰り返します。
　ただ、非常に疲れるので、働いている人などは自分の出来る範囲で調整してください。
　また、何回も繰り返していると余裕ができるので、類義語や反対語も少しずつ見ながら進めていくと自分の頭のなかで関連づけが出来てくると思います。


このシャドーイングは、非常に有効な方法だと思うので、私はなるべく取り入れるようにしています。
