Project

Final semester was started 2 weeks before. In this semester, we join a project and develop system for real clients. We chose CRM application project, and my supervisor recommend to write blog, because we think about the problem deeply to write blog. Everyone can see the blog, so when I write blog, I care for the possibility other people to read my blog without conscious.  Therefore, this method is very efficient to think about the problem by myself maybe:)

最後のセメスターが2週間前に始まりました。最終学期は3人チームでプロジェクトをくんで本当のクライアントのためにシステムをつくるというものです。私たちはCRMのアプリケーションをつくることにしました。で、スパーバイザーの先生がブログを書きなさいといって、ブログを書くことに。。。。
1個のブログもままならないのに2個いけるのか？このブログを書く理由は、一つの有効な勉強手段だそうで、公の目に触れるので意識してその問題についてより深く考えることができるかららしい。
まーちょっと英文斜め読みなので、ざっくりそんなコンセプトだそうです。
そういうわけで、こっちの新しいブログには英語でどんな問題に直面したか、どうしたら解決できるかというのを書いて行く予定ですー。が、普通の人にとっては残念ながら全然おもしろくないとおもいます。

Linux runs on Windows

It has succeeded to install Linux in a virtual PC. However there are a lot of problems to install.
I write the process of installing Linux in a virtual PC briefly.
My PC: Acer Aspire 1410
1. Virtual PC download from Microsoft Page.

2. In my case, I need Bios update to 3117.
Because I checked using Virtual PC checker.

3. Install Linex
But this virtual PC display is supported only 16bit and 32bit.
Linux is 24bit, so when install linux, you must choose 16bit.

4.Congratulations!

LinuxのバーチャルPCインストール完了しましたー。見た目はWindowsっぽいけど、やっぱり全然違うんだなーと改めて実感。
すごい使いずらいけど、初心者の私にはちょうどいいかも。
という訳でいろいろ大変だったので、一応メモを。
私のPC: Acer Aspire 1410
 1.マイクロソフトのページからVirtual PCをダウンロード

2.普通にインストールしようとしたところ、エラー。Virtual PC checkerという便利な物を発見。これで調べたところBiosの設定変更が必要だということがわかった。
でもAcerのページはいくつもBiosがあるので、サポートセンターへ問い合わせしつつ。ネットでも検索。
3117へのアップデートでVirtual PCを使えたという人のコメントを見つけたので、バックアップとって、どきどきしながらBiosアップデート。
ようやくVirtual PCのインストールは完了。

3.そしてLinuxインストールだけど。普通にインストールすると画面が正常に見れないので、かならず16bitを選ぶ。
ネットの情報によるとVertualPCは16bitか32bitしか対応してなくて、Linuxの標準だと24bitだからこうなってしまうらしい。
私も1回目はひどいことに。。。。。ようやく2回目で正常にインストールできたけど、Microsoftももうちょっとおおらかになってほしいなーと思う。

ところで、後から連絡があったAcerのサポートセンターによるとVirtualPCの利用は想定外なので、アップデートしても使えませんという回答。まあサポートセンターだったら妥当な回答かもしれないけど、使えてるもーん。

Microsoft

Recently, I see Microsoft page many times. For examaple, I want to get how to use SQL Server, Visual studio and Expression studio.
So I found some Microsoft pages are very cool!!

These pages have good balance, so I am confortable.
However, there are slightly heavy for my internet network.

I saw the ASP.NET Video, which is very interesting. This learning site has very useful information, and what's more Schott is a very handy person.

While he writes programming code, he explains how to use ASP.NET!!

This list is skills, which are demanded by IT companies from Seek.co.nz. This research consists of web application developer, software engineer, network engineer and my skills, because I am interested in these jobs. Each job was researched 10 job offers, so there were 30 jobs offers in all.

Amazing at IT English words for me (私が驚いたIT用語?)

I haven't known following words, so I was confused during the class. But if I were a software engineer, I would have known many words:)

私が驚いたキーワードを紹介。エンジニアだったら当たり前だったのかもしれないけど。言葉のニュアンスがカタカナワードとは違う場合があるので難しい。

• Decimal　　小数点のこと （two decimal places: 小数点第2位）
• Hexadecimal (Base-16)　16進法
• #(hash)　　ハッシュと読む（イギリス英語だからなのかもしれないけど）

発音も日本とは異なる場合があるので、NZはイギリス英語だからDatabaseはダータベース、Datatypeはダータタイプ。他にもSQLはシークエル、Linuxはライナックスとまあこんな感じなので、知ってる話だったとしても、あーこれのことってわかるまでに時間がかかる。
英語うまくなりたいなー＾＾
