Wine & Japanese rice snack

I had a glass of wine with Japanese rice snack, which is called "Senbei".
"Senbei" is made from rice and tastes soy sauce.
BUT the combination of wine and Senbei was very very bad.
I have never eaten such a bad combination, so I changed cheese and nuts.

ワイン飲みながらせんべいを食べたことありますか？
昨日その組み合わせにトライしてみたところひじょーにまずい。
なにがいけないのかなー白ワインだから？
よくわかんないけど、とにかくまずいのでおつまみをチーズとナッツにチェンジ。
やっぱりこっちの方が断然おいしい！

Winter (暑い日本のみなさまへ)

　Now here is winter, but I don't feel so cold. I think last year is much cooler than this year.
  Anyway, in Japan I heard very very hot, so I want to deliver cold winter in New Zealand:)

ニュージーランドから暑いとうわさの日本のみなさまへ涼しさをおすそ分けしようと思いますー。
去年の方が断然寒かった気がするけど、私がNZの気候になれたのか。
それとも本当にそんなに寒くないのか。
どっちが正しいのかいまだにわからないですが。
とりあえず、冬なのでちょっとでも涼しい気分になるかなー。

Linux runs on Windows

It has succeeded to install Linux in a virtual PC. However there are a lot of problems to install.
I write the process of installing Linux in a virtual PC briefly.
My PC: Acer Aspire 1410
1. Virtual PC download from Microsoft Page.

2. In my case, I need Bios update to 3117.
Because I checked using Virtual PC checker.

3. Install Linex
But this virtual PC display is supported only 16bit and 32bit.
Linux is 24bit, so when install linux, you must choose 16bit.

4.Congratulations!

LinuxのバーチャルPCインストール完了しましたー。見た目はWindowsっぽいけど、やっぱり全然違うんだなーと改めて実感。
すごい使いずらいけど、初心者の私にはちょうどいいかも。
という訳でいろいろ大変だったので、一応メモを。
私のPC: Acer Aspire 1410
 1.マイクロソフトのページからVirtual PCをダウンロード

2.普通にインストールしようとしたところ、エラー。Virtual PC checkerという便利な物を発見。これで調べたところBiosの設定変更が必要だということがわかった。
でもAcerのページはいくつもBiosがあるので、サポートセンターへ問い合わせしつつ。ネットでも検索。
3117へのアップデートでVirtual PCを使えたという人のコメントを見つけたので、バックアップとって、どきどきしながらBiosアップデート。
ようやくVirtual PCのインストールは完了。

3.そしてLinuxインストールだけど。普通にインストールすると画面が正常に見れないので、かならず16bitを選ぶ。
ネットの情報によるとVertualPCは16bitか32bitしか対応してなくて、Linuxの標準だと24bitだからこうなってしまうらしい。
私も1回目はひどいことに。。。。。ようやく2回目で正常にインストールできたけど、Microsoftももうちょっとおおらかになってほしいなーと思う。

ところで、後から連絡があったAcerのサポートセンターによるとVirtualPCの利用は想定外なので、アップデートしても使えませんという回答。まあサポートセンターだったら妥当な回答かもしれないけど、使えてるもーん。

Package from Japan (食料が来た！)

  I moved in new place. There is the first Package, which was sent by my mother. But it has taken nearly 3 weeks to get it.
I don't know why it takes too long time, because previous address is usually one week. What's more in this time the package was opened by Australian Costumes. It is the first time to open my package, so I took a photo:)
By the way, I think Japanese chocolate is the most tasty in the world!

戦後のようなタイトルですが、日本から母親が荷物を送ってくれたので、食料が手元に！うはうはです。
でもこの荷物届くまでに3週間ぐらいかかった。船便じゃーないですよー。
前の家は1週間ぐらいで届いてたのに、なんでこんなに時間かかるのか、、、。うーむ。まー届いたのでよしとしよう！で、あけてみるとオーストラリアの税関が開けましたというレターが。
なんと。怪しかったのか？別にやましいこともないので、貴重な体験ありがとうオーストラリア税関。というわけで、記念に写真をとりました。
さすがニュージーよりも厳しいという噂のオーストラリアは小汚いパッケージじゃだめなのかもしれない＾＾
でさっそく届いたルックチョコレートを1個と思い食べ、やっぱり全部の種類を食べたくなって1個ずつ。ちょっと物足りなくて、もうちょっとって思ったら1箱全部食べてた。
日本のチョコレートは世界一おいしいと思う！

Break fast soup

I want to download Linux at the Internet; normally New Zealand's Internet has limitation of the size. (In Japan, there are normally unlimited.)


So, my breakfast is yesterday's soup. This soup is mainly onion, potato and carrots. Very healthy

I will go to school and download Linux. My plan is to use virtual PC installing Linux. Now I use Linux at Net work project, but I don't have enough time.
If I have succeeded, I will report you.
今日はリナックスをダウンロードしに学校へ。ニュージーランドのインターネットは容量制限があるので、さすがに重いリナックスを共同生活のフラットでダウンロードするのは気が引けたわけです。（日本はたいてい容量制限がないので、そういうことを気にしなくていいから本当に楽。）
というわけで朝食は昨日のスープ。ジャガイモ、オニオン、にんじんなんて健康的な！
冷蔵庫はからっぽ。買い物いかないと。
今日はできれば、リナックスをバーチャルPCで起動させたいけども、ダウンロード無事できるかわからない。。。。残念。
うまくいったら報告します。ではではー。

Noodle (そば)

Today I was really tired because of many assignments and a little job, but I feel very very hungry.
Actually I have ate lunch already.
However, I found Japanese instant noodle:)
New Zealand's instant noodle is not tasty, I like Japanese instant noodle, which is much more yummy!

学校の課題と仕事を始めたので、いろいろあって今日はお疲れ。でもすっごいお腹がすく。
ホントはお昼ごはん食べたんだけど。
どんべえを発見！残しておいてよかったわー。
ニュージーランドのインスタントヌードルはあんまりおいしくないけど、さすが日本のはおいしいねー＾＾

My Hot Blog

Recently, I found very interesting blog, which is called "Ohitorisamano-Shokutaku". This person is female, she lives by herself, and she cooks her lunch box everyday.
  The interesting point is that her writing is very humor. So I read this blog and I get energy:)

Curry

  I really want to eat curry, so I cooked curry. I have cumin and turmeric already, and I bought curry powder and chili powder.
 In New Zealand, spaces are cheaper than Japan, and also a lot of spices are available. I like New Zealand's super market.
 When I was in Japan, I cooked curry using these spices without Japanese curry paste. This curry is normal:) I don't have rice cooker, so I used fry pan for cooking rice.
 My curry is not Japanese curry, not Indian curry and not Sri Lanka curry. But my curry is very tasty for me.
Next time, I will bring my curry to my classmates.

どうしてもカレーが食べたくなったので、クミンとターメリックはもうあるから、カレーパウダーとチリパウダーを買ってきて、カレーをつくることに。
ニュージーランドはスパイスが豊富だし安いので、すごく便利。家からは遠いから買い物大変だけど。。。。
日本にいたときもカレーはカレールーを使わずにスパイス入れて作ってたので、そんなに苦にはならない♪カレーを作り終わって、ご飯は炊飯器がないので フライパンで。
カレーのできあがり！
クラスメイトのインディアンカレーやスリランカカレーを食べたけれども、私にとっては自分のカレーが一番。家の味ってやつでしょうか。
私のカレーをインド人が食べたらどう思うんだろうと思うので、今度クラスメイトにもっていってみよう。

To change facebook photo (facebookの写真を変更)

I like my profile photo of facebook. But this photo was taken 2 years ago, so my friend told me, "Your photo was too old."
"Too old! I don't think so. This photo is just 2 yeas ago.", I said.
"You had better to keep current profile. I will take photo, so you will change your profile." , my friend said.
"OK", I accepted reluctantly. Therefore, I changed my profile of facebook, which have been taken at school with my classmate.

Facebookのプロフィール写真。割と気に入ってたんだけど、実際は2年前の写真だったのがばれたらしく。クラスメイトが「写真古すぎるから変更しなよ」って言ってきた。
｢古すぎる？たった2年前の写真が古いって？｣って聞いたら。
「新しいプロフィール写真をキープしている方がいいんじゃいかというアドバイスだよ。写真とってあげるから新しいのに変更したら」だって。。。。
うーむあんまり気はすすまないけど、しぶしぶ承諾して、クラスメイトと学校でとった写真に変更してみました。。。。　

Would you like to join Auckland Marathon? (オークランドマラソン)

Last year, I wanted to join Auckland Marathon, but entry had already closed. So I can run Auckland Marathon.
This year, I entry Auckland Marathon. However, when I realized entry site of Auckland Marathon, the entry of full marathon and half marathon have already closed. Therefore, I will join quarter marathon. I am disappointed, because the course of full marathon and half marathon is through to Harbor bridge, but quarter marathon is just along beach side.
Anyway I am looking forward to running in Auckland city. If you are interested in Auckland Marathon, would you like to run with me?

ホントは去年参加したかったオークランドマラソン。今年こそはと思い、サイトを見てみるとすでにフルマラソンとハーフマラソンはいっぱい。確かにニュージーランドはランニングしてる人やウォーキングしてる人がたくさんいて、総人口の割にはランナー人口多いのかも。。。。。
フルマラソンとハーフマラソンだとハーバーブリッジが渡れるコース、、、、いいなー。
残念だけど。とりあえず今回はクオーターマラソンに参加することにしました。
単独参加なので、もし我こそはという方ぜひ一緒に走りましょー。
クオーターだったら10キロぐらいだから、そんなに大変じゃないから、だれでも完走できちゃうと思いますー＾＾
といいつつも私も全然走ってないから（たくさん歩いてるけど）、ちょっとトレーニングしよー。

To get Fridge (冷蔵庫がやってきた)

Finally, we get fridge!! I didn't know that I become very happy because my food keep cold.
Now I can buy meet, many vegetables, milk, cheese, butter and Mayo:) I am really happy.


ようやく冷蔵庫ゲット。食べ物が冷えてるってことがこんなに幸せなことだとは知らなかった。
これからは肉も野菜も、ミルクもチーズもバターもなんでも買えちゃう！！
ホントーにうれしいわー。

Research

Today I went to research lab.　I had to answer some questions for 2 hours. They wanted to research Japanese people, especially what kinds of taste Japanese people like?
There are 2 parts testing, one parts is that I try to find particular smell from four smells. We have done it 12 times:)
And next we try to taste some foods. After taste, we fill in the form do you like or not.
It is very interesting research. I don't know how to get result of this research, because my feeling is untrustworthy.

今日はリサーチ研究所にいってきました。ちょっとしたお小遣い稼ぎみたいな感じで、リサーチに協力して謝礼がもらえるというもの。2時間のリサーチで、目的は日本人の味覚調査らしい。
2つのセッションに分かれていて、一個目は4つあるにおいのなかから特定のにおいをひとつ見つけるというもの。で、それを12回実施。そんなことやる機会なんてないから、利き酒みたいな感じで面白いけど、難しいねー。
面白いと思うのが、どの程度自信をもって答えてるのかも丸をつけるところ。ただのあてずっぽうか、ある程度確信をもってこれと選んだのか。というのも答るんだけど、私の場合わからない割にはこれだと確信しているに丸をつけたものが多かったかも＾＾
で2個目のセッションはテイスティング、トマトジュースやポテト食べて、好きか嫌いか答えるもの。
一緒に受けた人たちも同じ年ぐらいの女性で、海外住んでいる人たちは割りとサバサバしてる人が多いので、楽しい時間をすごしましたー。
また機会があったらぜひやりたいです♪

Wanted Honda Accord (ホンダ アコード売ろうと思っている方いますか？)

This is not mine. My friend, who lives in New Zealand, wants to buy Honda Accord. In New Zealand, the car run on left side, which is the same as Japan. And Japanese car is efficient petrol. So, Japanese car is major. Many old Japanese cars are imported in New Zealand, and the price is much higher than Japan.
Therefore, he wants to buy the car from Japan and import by himself. If anyone want to sell Honda Accord, please let me know. He can't speak Japanese. If possible, it would be nice to have speaking English:)

これは私の話ではないんですが、ニュージーランドにいる友達がホンダアコードを買いたいらしい。ニュージーランドは日本と同じ右ハンドルで、燃費もいいからかなりの割合で日本車が走っている。そのほとんどが中古車で（新車なんてほとんど買わない）日本から輸入してるんだけども、かなり高い金額になっちゃう。
だから、その友達は日本で直接車を買って自分で輸入したいんだって。もし、ホンダ　アコードお持ちで売ろうと思っていた方、ご連絡くださいー＾＾
でも、その友達は日本語話せないので、可能だったら英語しゃべれる人だとありがたいです。
こんな話を聞くとニュージーで車輸入ビジネスするっていう手もあるかも？とか思っちゃうけど、よく考えたら、私ペーパードライバーだった。

Starting winter

In Auckland, there is in winter, because it rains everyday. I don't know why, but Auckland is usually rain in winter. So, the weather is changeable quickly. We have to bring umbrella everyday.

オークランドは毎日雨なので冬がはじまったようです。なぜか知らないけど、オークランドの冬は雨季といってもいいぐらい毎日雨。（雨季なのかな？？）そして、天気もすごく急激に変わる。晴れてたと思ったらいきなり土砂降りとかね。だから毎日かさをもっていかないといけないです><

Indian Curry

I went to teach ASP.Net to my Indian classmate. After finishing study, he invited me to his lunch. I love curry, so I was very glad to hear that!
He cooked Curry very well and he made Roti, which looks Nan. I had never eaten real Indian Curry. His curry is very nice!!
In Japan, Indian curry is usually oily, but his curry is not so oily. And they said they normally have more spicy curry.
Next time, I want to cook Japanese food:)

昨日はASP.Netをクラスメイトに教えてあげにいってきました。彼は寮に住んでいるので、学校で勉強した後、ランチに招待してもらった＾＾カレー大好き！！
クラスメイトはとっても料理上手で、カレーだけでなくナンのようなロティというパンも作ってくれて本格的！インドのお母さんは毎日昼と夜ロティをつくるらしい。力を入れて20分ぐらいこねないといけないから大変。日本人でよかったとふと思う。
カレーはとてもあっさりしていてすごくおいしかった！日本のインディアンレストランはたいていオイリーだけど、本当のカレーはすごくおいしー。今度は私が日本食を！って思うけどベジタリアンへの日本食。アボカドロールでしょうか？
だれかいいアイデアあったら教えてー。

jQuery UI

Recently, I learn about jQuery UI. I used reference of jQuery page and aggressive engineer blog.
It is very easy to use it. And there are many plug-ins, so I want to get more knowledge!

Without fridge diet (冷蔵庫なしダイエット)

When I came here, I have lost my weight. So, I don't want to need to be on diet. But I haven't gotten fridge yet for 2 weeks. I think my weight have decreased gradually.
Therefore, I'm thinking about fridge diet. If you do want to lose your weight, I think  without fridge diet is one of the most powerful diet.
However, please don't do that in summer.
I want to get our fridge this week!!

こっちに来てやせたので、ダイエットは特に必要ないと思うんだけど。
引越しして2週間、いまだ冷蔵庫がないまま。ちゃんと図ってないけど、徐々に体重も減ってきた。今までと食べてるものはそんなに変わらないんだけどね。
たぶん保管できないから余計なものを買わなくなったのかも。
冷蔵庫なしダイエットという新しいジャンルの本が書けるんじゃないかとちょっと思ったりして。。。。本当にダイエットしたい人、絶対効果があるダイエットのひとつです。
ただし、夏には決してやらないでね。（NZは冬が始まった感じなので、冷蔵庫なしダイエットができるんです。ってポジティブな響き）
 今週中にはぜひ冷蔵庫をゲットしたい！！

My room

 This is my room. I have moved into a new house  for 2 weeks. Now I got a good bed, which is only $47!
I bought at trade me Trade me. The Trade me is New Zealand auction site, but competition is not so keen because of population (?). Therefore, I can get an affordable bed.
And my friend and this seller is very helpful for me. So we could take this bed by normal car.
Can you imagine how to take this bed to my house?
The answer is we take the bed on the roof of the car! If I took the picture, I could upload this photo:)

これが私の新しい部屋です。移ってようやく2週間。家具もないので、最初は大変だったけど。ようやくベッドもゲット。47ドル（3,000円ぐらい）!
Trademeというオークションサイトで中古のベッドを買ったんです。NZは中古市場が充実しているので、みんな新品を買わずに中古を買います。まーお金もちの人はポンポンお金出して新品かっちゃうんだろうけど。なぜかというと、NZ自体で作っている製品って食べ物以外はあんまりないから、ベッドとか家具とかテレビとか全部輸入品だから高い！という訳で、安くいいものを買える中古市場がにぎわっているようです。
 このオークションサイトもNZで一番有名なオークションサイトだけど、日本ほど競争が激しいわけじゃないので（人口が少ないから？）、安くベッドをゲットできたわけですー。
そして友達とセラーの人がいろいろ助けてくれてようやく普通車でベッドを運ぶことができました。
ここで問題。どうやって普通車でベッドを運んだでしょうか？
答えは屋根に乗せて運んだ！です。いやー。写真とっておけば見せられたのに、残念><
セラーの人がとっても心優しいKIWIのおじさんで、車のメンテナンスの仕事をしてる人だったから、ルーフに乗せたベッドをきちんと固定できたけど。そうじゃなかったら運べなかったなーって思う＾＾；
我ながら強引な手をつかってしまいました。
どうもありがとー！

Hot water bottle （湯たんぽ）

Do you know what is it? I used to use it in Japan. This is Hot Water Bottle.
I moved in the new house, which is not anything. We have to buy many things, so I don't want to spend money for the heater. That's why I bought this hot water bottle.
This is very useful!

これがなにかわかりますか？私は日本でも使ってました。実は湯たんぽ！
新しい家は何にもないので、いろいろ買わないといけなくて、ヒーターにあまりお金を使いたくないので、湯たんぽをかったんだけど。
意外に便利！湯たんぽって海外にもあるんだね。
まーNZの家は外より家の中の方が寒いから、日本よりも需要が高いかも。
$8だったのでだいたい500円ぐらい。

Review of my class

In this semester, I want to stop writing about class review, because I want to study jQuery, PHP, ASP.Net and javascript. If you wait my class review, sorry I will not write about class review.
But I write down my class briefly.

今回のセメスターはクラスの復習はかかないつもりです。理由は、授業以外にも勉強したいことがあるから。もし楽しみにしてた方がいたらごめんなさい。
とりあえず、2学期にやることを簡単に書いておくので、これでゆるしてくださいー！
